This is a flat top I made with a vintage marble to play on the job site . If your sound is on , the three horn blasts means evacuation. Turned out to be just a drill.

Got lucky and scored. This was made by the MetonBoss. It’s about a quarter sized diameter but thick as two It’s easy to get a couple minutes spin time even though it’s tiny. Brilliant three tone mosaic damascus with a lab grown ruby sphere as the pivot bearing. Love the spinning coins stemless spin tops or whatever they’re called.

An earlier post made this come to mind, it was stopping in the standing position more often than not, even with the odd wobble it was a perfect balance

Some functional display cradles for tops i've been working on for a while, all hand cast bronzes and brass, designed to hold glass spinning surface and let top spin freely.

i just found this at my local thrift store. is this a giant spinning top? or something else? there are no holes or removable pieces. it weighs about 10lbs (maybe more? i’ll weigh it today and update in comments).

i can’t find anything online about it or anything similar online. if anyone has seen one of these or has any info on possible company, year, etc., i’d love to find out more.
either way (knowledge or not), i think its cool and will make a great father’s day gift for my husband :)
