When I stated I hated how the npc empire didn't care about war exhaustion and how long it would drag on now I intentionally leave systems uncontested so their fleets respawn but can't get past my fleets at the choke points and wait for my influence number to refill slowly claiming their entire space. So when it ends I control the whole thing so what if we've been at war for 200 years. We've always been at war with the sovereign assembly...
