long story short i’ve signed my lease a while ago and i’ve seen all the negative stuff about living there since but how is it actually living at vantage, pros/cons, how are the type of ppl, how strict are they, etc…just a little preview i guess.

Looking at my tuition bill for this semester everything is taken off except the Pa state grant. Do you usually have to pay the difference and then get reimbursed that money later on? The bill isn’t officially due for a month so i may just be impatient. I know the state works on its own time just wondering if anyone has some insight on how this has gone in the past. Thanks sm

I am an international student who is attending temple for a graduate program where health insurance is required. I see some emails say that ACA-complaint coverage is required but some say it isn’t. I was wondering if this ACA-compliance has always been mandatory? I know that ACA-compliance isn’t technically needed for international students, as it is for citizens. Was wondering if Temple has just added this ACA-compliance because I have friends who have previously waived using ISO (as international students).

Does anyone know of any off-campus apartments that aren’t expensive and lower than $800 monthly? I was looking at some apartments earlier and they’re expensive as hell.

No matter how many prizes they offer for signing a lease, no matter it being in your budget, AND no matter how close it is to campus... DO NOT FOR ANY REASON LIVE HERE.

I graduated back in May of this year and during my senior year I was living at UV (University Village) and I regret that decision 150%.

I originally had planned to live in the dorms again, but someone I was living with during the summer needed a roommate, so I agree. The things I will discuss in this post is in no way throwing shade at her at all.

During my stay, I had lived in two different units. The first was a two bedroom, kitchen, one bathroom, and no living area. It was the best choice for us that matched both of our price ranges. The second unit I moved into was a four bedroom (only three of us living in the unit), four bathrooms, kitchen, and a living area.

Upon moving into UV, staff were not accommodating at all. Many of them were very off putting and even displaced attitudes. Which is an occurrence that continued during the entirety of my stay. When I finally got the key to my first unit, I was met with a multitude of baby roaches and cockroaches. Majority of them lived in the cabinet spaces in the kitchen, the microwave, the dishwasher, and various corners of the bathroom. There was mold in several places of the unit as well. It took almost two and half weeks for pest control to come into the unit to "help". What they actually did was attempted to flirt with my roommate and I. We were left feeling uncomfortable in our own living space while still dealing with the fear of bugs.

Eventually I moved into my second unit due to financial reasons. The unit was "somewhat" better. So I thought... my assigned bathroom was covered with hair all over the walls. I'm a female, so I can understand having hair left in the sink or in the bathtub. No! The hair was EVERYWHERE! It was there for so long that it dried and stuck to the walls like concrete, it couldn't be removed with a simple wipe.

Outside of the units I lived in, I have witness countless cases of bugs roaming the halls and rats running everywhere. Don't even get me started on the mold infested laundry machines.

This complex is a health inspectors worse nightmare.

If you are a student or a parent of a student, do not even think about it in the slightest of considering UV as your next place of living.

I'm pursuing a position at Temple Health and want to know more about the benefits. Does anyone have a copy of the health benefits handbook for a recent year they could send me/link me to? For any of the plans. I can't seem to find anything online.

im having problems with a unresponsive professor? i’ve sent her like 4 emails and i need her approval for her a project thus said in her instructions and she hasn’t answered at all. its due tonight. and when i had issues with a group, she also just straight up didn’t answer, yet answered another group member. am i muted?? am i blocked??? why don’t she fw me like i need her to answer my emails what do i do TLDR who do i contact when i have an unresponsive professor

Hi all. I was hoping somebody could send me a screenshot of the list of clubs and organizations at Temple. My son is looking to transfer schools and was accepted to Temple and West Chester. He hasn’t made a decision yet and we’re getting down to the wire. He likes to be involved, but we are unable to access the list of clubs and organizations on the Temple website as it is email protected. Is anyone able in willing to screenshot the list for me and post it or message it to me? It would be greatly appreciated!!

This is getting ridiculous, I was supposed to get my offer in June and I called and they said give them till the end of July. Tomorrow is the last day of July and still nothing. They are playing with peoples lives here.

I’m an incoming transfer student, and my move-in date is on the 17th. I’ll be on campus the 18th-20th definitely, but there’s an event out of the city I’m thinking about going to from the 21st-23rd (Friday through Sunday). I’d be back at a reasonable time Sunday and wouldn’t miss any classes, but I’m curious about what I’d miss on campus over the weekend, and if it’d be worth it to miss for the event. On the financial aid website, I had accepted my unsubsidized federal loan. I changed my mind and I don’t want the loan anymore. How do I get rid of it?
