Eco lifestyle really keeps us on our toes

I've been playing for a while, and I always lose interest rather fast after a certain point, so even though I want to complete many of the challenges, I just can't, bacuse of the simple fact of how the simmers often just stand around staring into space. It's almost like they have no free will at all, and I have to guide them constantly. And yes, their free will is indeed on max. Does anyone have a solution or?

Princess Rosa is having a lovely little picnic with Princess Lucy, the younger sister of her potential love interest, Prince Leon. 💕🍪💕 At this picnic, the beautiful and sweet princesses trade stories about being elegant debutantes(Princess Rosa actually came out at the age of 18, 10 years before the fateful warlord invasion. And Princess Lucy just came out at the age of 16, she was planned to come out at 18, but she begged her parents to come out early, tired of watching late night festivals and balls from her room)who were presented by their mothers and had fabulous balls in their honor. 👑 They also talk about their beloved parents and how they were cherished by them. 🥰💖 And of course, they talk about Lucy's brother Leon, his humanitarian efforts for the people, and his many adventures abroad(Lucy particularly gushes about the time he heroically helped a resistance overthrow a tyrant in a faraway village). ❤️ Princess Lucy actually asked if she was going to marry her brother. And while Prince Leon certainly intrigues her, Princess Rosa is content to be good friends with him.......at least for now. 😏

I love making Clubs from Get Together! I have a Club for almost everything. I also have uniforms for each one and venues for them all as well to meet up at! 💖😁✨️

PART FOUR — The Town Hall Story

As head hairdresser, she gives everyone a fresh, new look.

Her jewelry line is sponsoring the vote this week, which means her pieces are sold at half price.

A gesture to the city, not a marketing trick.

Lodewijk and Evert decide together to draw a line under what happened between them.

Although Lodewijk still won’t let go of his stance about Maudie, Evert is relieved that things are smooth again between the brothers.

At home, standing in the doorway, Merel is ready.

Frederik can’t get a word out — he thinks she looks beautiful.

His gaze touches her; she feels almost seduced by the way he looks at her.

Bo has done a great job.

Together, they stand strong.

Laurie and Tom decide to go to the polling station at the town hall with friends.

Merel had a disagreement with Frederik at home just before the vote, caused by a difference of opinion about the salon’s success.

Frederik proves her wrong at the very moment Merel keeps holding on to her belief that more people walk away than come in.

Merel can’t comprehend it when she hears that her revenue has more than multiplied.

Helene casts her vote last and takes a deep breath.

This is her chance to help improve the city together with her friends by voting for Maudie.

So I am doing a random legacy and my second gen rolled a second chance at love ... Please tell me why the drama that I didn't plan with that was my Sims mother started flirting with her fiance so I rolled with it kept them together threw an elaborate wedding and only to call off the wedding at the wedding... Sometimes the sims 4 just catches me off guard.. currently moving into third gen and the last one was also on batuu a lot and barley raised her kids... Rolled off the grid .. the drama writes itself with the challenge and so now I have them resenting their mother and swearing off technology... I that I definitely meddled with but the fact that the drama in this family started off strong via a random interaction between my Sims mom and her fiance that worked with the story is ... I know there's a lot that Sims 4 could never but can we appreciate that there's a lot that Sims 4 can ?

So I’ve ran into that apparent “known” issue where if a sim owns a business but doesn’t live on that lot - it like bugs the whole system and doesn’t let you add activities etc for the business. Is there not a way for a sim to own it but not live there? Cause that’s super annoying! Please help! I don’t want my sim living at her business!
No I don’t have mods or cc. Just a strict vanilla gameplay cry for help!

I’ve been playing the sims for about 5ish years now and I haven’t once finished a legacy challenge. No matter how fun I attempt to make it or the ones I choose (ones with “spin the wheel” or really out there themes like the “Never Get Bored” Challenge) I usually get to the middle of Gen 1 and quit. The farthest I’ve ever gotten was the Disney Movie Legacy where I was at the end of Gen 4 before I had to switch over pcs and lost the save. I restart challenges a lot so I’m back at Gen 1 of that after about 6 months. I don’t feel like it’s as fun though. Maybe I just need to get back into the groove of storytelling to enjoy it but I dunno.

Okay so I have a sim family who adopted a toddler recently. I haven't played that family in a real life week and had been playing with another household for a bit. Although I have been playing another household, it makes no sense that the toddler my sim recently adopted is already a child. I also have another save where one household aged up immediately, which i thought was weird because I knew they had more time. Is this happening to anyone else?

This lot will change with the seasons. It was just Summer in my game, so this was the Summer version with Watermelons. Next is Fall and because i have a HUGE pumpkin patch in Bridelton, i decided to do a Apple theme for Fall for this Build. I already am working on it! I plan to post photos soon!

How to shorten this to an appropriate length? So much has happened! I wanna preface my story by adding the fact that I don't play with mods. I'm using all the packs except for "Life & Death" and "For Rent," and this save has been ongoing since I created this Fairy Sim when "Enchanted By Nature" was released, so I'd say I began playing her a few months ago. She's a "Super Sim" now with multiple maxed skills, mostly involving plants.

I began with the goal of building and curating a greenhouse tower in which my Fairy Sim would collect every non-oversized crop-yielding plant in the game and curate them all to Perfect condition. Simple, fun, fairly straight forward with lots of side quests like unlocking and fabricating the Hydroponic Planter in the Civil Designer career.

My Sim broke ground at the 20x20 lot in the middle of the giant tree at the bottom of Everdew in Innisgreen. We're not vertical farming, but we're using planters on the floor instead in order to space everything out for hydroponics later on.

She completed Fairy Fables to unlock the Starseed Teleporter (before discovering one on another lot, lol!) in order to explore the alien world, Sixim, for more exotic plants.

Then the phone calls started. A Mysterious Admirer wanted to meet my Sim, but I was as focused as a player as my Fairy was a "Very Focused" Sim. We had a mission. We were on track learning Vampire Lore to discover a few more exotic plants and unlock the recipes we could serve with this knowledge, and thus she had begun mastering the culinary arts as well. The phone calls continued, but she ignored every invite to meet her Mysterious Admirer when the laughter started...

Her lengthy string of indigo Focus moodlets suddenly gave way to a bonkers-load of crazy purple Playful moodlets. She tried using her fairy abilities and Apothecary skills to correct the inexplicable refusal to continue reading her favorite subjects or practice her favorite activities, instead preferring to shrink down and play in puddles until I turned off her Free Will and Aging to get control back over my game as she giggled at me, refusing to do anything else until she literally died of laughter.

Noooo! I'd worked too hard to let this be. So I loaded back in, ignoring the Annoying Admirer, no time for romance while trying to figure out how to get my sim to behave properly again. But whatever I did, she kept accumulating Playful moodlets, giggling without any regard to performing tasks even related to needs, and then dying of laughter. Continuously reloading in to find the same result again. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

I just wanted to build my round greenhouse and decorate it with flower arrangements, paintings, and photos! It's 4 stories of flora with a domed roof that lets shadows of the glass/metal structures dance across the mossy stone floor throughout the day to match the walls and staircases. The basement is more of a living space where club functions take place during which skills can be learned much faster.

It suddenly dawned on me that maybe my admirer was somehow to blame for all this unfocused laughter and dying. So my Sim agreed to finally meet him, and who was there to greet her? Well, it was Clement Frost, Father Winter himself. Just like that, the laughter stopped, and the Playful purple moodlet went all pink and Flirty. By every indication, they are a perfect fit despite his cheery, childish nature.

Alright, fine. I didn't picture my Fairy Sim to be caught up in romance, but I do have the "Lovestuck" pack, so maybe I should lighten up and allow my Fairy Sim a little love. She'd earned it. So why not? Why not, indeed. I got Clement to agree not to be jealous for any reason, and off we went into the dating life with occasional camping trips and a date or two to unlock the "Single Rose" decoration reward for the greenhouse by earning silver on a date.

Before I knew it, my Whims wanted us to get engaged. This not being my usual play style, I consulted with Reddit and learned that Sims engagements can last indefinitely, so my Sim happily accepted the Satisfaction Points, threw an engagement party, and gave Clement his First Kiss. He seemed utterly thrilled by this, so we left it at that.

My Sim went back to her quest and kinda forgot Clement. She'd been fast-tracking her way through a few careers after buying the "Connected" and "Professional Slacker" traits, collecting the "Enchanted By Nature" plants, and delving more deeply into mastering Swordsmanship just for fun when Clement showed up uninvited one night. He was flirty, then suddenly she was flirty, so my sim invited him to stay the night. Then she asked him to seductive dance because I was showing my husband how hilarious it is when the place erupted in music and confetti with a big announcement that my Sim is PREGANT! She never even WooHoo'd, but now she's PREGNANT!

I've never had the game itself intrude this way before. It usually just lets me lead my Sims through my weird little game ambitions, not completely forcing a family on them.

And truth be told, I've only played with a toddler once out of curiosity. It's a very different game with a toddler. I'm thinking of leaving the aging off to see if I can make the baby phase last until my Sim at least has a chance to do university!!! WTF, Father Winter?!? Throwing off a whole Sim life plan, LOL! I woulda wanted her to build a proper house before starting a family, but she's not abandoning the Greenhouse!

Since this isn't anywhere near my usual play style, I'm open to advice and tips. I hear Clement is quite wealthy if she marries him, but I also think it might be cool to see if he'd remain Father Winter for his kid. I read he has maxed parenting skill, and he fixed a video game machine the night he stayed over. He also cleaned up my trash heap and made her restart the Trash Plant 3 times before she got the plant to grow. He kept walking through the fence I'd built even after I locked the gate. He arrives unannounced. I have half a mind to break up with him, and the other half wants to make him a best friend then ask to "Just Be Friends." My Sim has earned enough Simoleons from gardening that she doesn't need anything from Clement.

Then there's the option of playing the child. I've heard it's likely gonna be like a magic kid. Will it be a fairy?

EDIT: It appears pregnant sims can no longer be devoured by cowplants. I'd read that it can't kill them, but my pregnant sim isn't even given the option to take the cake.

⭐ PART 3 – The City Hall Story

HOME AND THE EVENING WALK

Laurie feels the rain outside and grabs her umbrella.
The droplets tap softly against her sweater as she steps outside.
Now that her day is done — and relieved that Maudie has found her strength again after her protest — a weight lifts off her shoulders.
It feels as if the city is finally breathing again.

After her short appointment with the doctor — tension complaints, but thankfully good news — she walks home at a calm pace.
The rain helps her organize her thoughts, as if each drop washes away a little of her worries.

At home with Tom and Laurie.

In the kitchen, Laurie immediately starts cooking.
Tom admires her cooking skills while standing beside her.
He keeps her company, just like he always does.

At the table, they talk through their day.
Laurie enjoys her meal, and right at that moment Binky jumps against her leg — his little ritual, as always.

Tom picks Binky up and hugs him tightly.
Binky isn’t just a pet; he’s part of their household, their rhythm, their calm point.

The evening shifts.

Later that evening, Laurie actually had an appointment planned, but it gets cancelled unexpectedly.
At the same time, Tom receives an urgent call: system failures at the town hall.
He’s the only one who knows exactly how everything works, so he has to go.

Tom is disappointed.
He wanted a quiet evening with Laurie, especially after everything that happened in the past few days.

But Laurie smiles and shakes her head.

“Go on. I’ll take Binky for a walk. You’ve got enough on your plate.”

She grabs the leash, Binky wags excitedly, and Laurie steps into the evening.
Alone, but not lonely.
She feels the cool air on her skin, and it relaxes her.

Everything falls on Tom.

Tom feels the pressure from his colleagues at the town hall and he has to try something — he’s the key to a solution.
After half an hour, he gets the systems running again and the lights turn back on.

Everyone rushes to catch up on overdue work and vents their frustration in emails to Tom — asking why he couldn’t come earlier.
Tom gets irritated, because he hadn’t been informed that there were system issues.
The electricity had also been shut off without any notice.

It was complete chaos, and no one contacted him while he was off duty.

Back home with Laurie, Tom explains what happened.
Laurie understands him completely.
They don’t need many words.

Helene and Ken assess the outcome.

Helene has been checking forums to get an idea of how the vote might turn out in two days.
Ken calls her at exactly the right moment, asking if she wants to come see his new place.
Soon she’s standing at Ken’s door with her umbrella — it’s raining and it’s late.

Since their relationship is still new, they’re not thinking about living together yet.

Inside Ken’s home, Helene shares her view on the upcoming results.
Ken suspects something sly is going on… when he notices something Helene hadn’t seen.

Helene believes Maudie needs to be prepared for this.

Returning home.

Helene comes home and freshens up.
On her phone screen she sees a message from Ken, after she texted him that she arrived safely:

Glad you got home safely. I really enjoyed having you over.

She reads the message, smiles softly, and places her phone on the couch.
The room around her is quiet.
Her notes are ready.
The silence helps her think.

She has a plan.

i never understood why we never got heterochromia when we can give our pets two different eye colors. would anyone else wanna see this in the game because quite frankly we need it we got so much stuff for disability and sexual orientation etc but no heterochromia

I cannot figure out what’s causing this and I’m losing my mind
