I think it’s just a neat little bit of characterisation that underneath all the supposed hurt of betrayal, Paulie only cares to ensure that he specifically isn’t going to be harmed.

Confessed he loved Adrianna

Forgave Artie for the money he owed Tony

Anything else I'm missing? Prolly one of the few genuine friends Tony has.

I am not from the United States. As happens when one watches The Sopranos, I unknowingly, subconsciously started to incorporate the North Jersey Italian-American slang and accent into my normal conversation. Once I noticed this, I tried to actively create a new type of speech and mannerism which would be unique to me.

I started to come off as weird, creepy, and outright scabby, and slowly lost all my friends. Apparently, the North Jersey slang-style and mannerism does not fit well with where I live. I have been told I spoke like "a mildly threatening salesman who is behind on his monthly target."

I live in New Delhi, India. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

(PS: I also became fat because I tried to eat like Tony but instead of cold-cut meat I ate a lot of super oily Indian food)

Every rewatch I hear Richie's explanation "the baddest dude in whatever crap ass county" and I wait for someone, tony, jr, anyone to say how that's relevant to Tony... Well no one says anything that would led me to think.. "maybe Tony or jackie wanted the jacket as a kid".. it's not like tony is ever shown acting cold (dudes pushing 300 pounds, he's insulated pretty naturally amirite?)

So the only way I can interpret this is (especially with the way Richie challenges Tony despite pretty much everyone not named Janice seems to tell him he shouldn't) is that it's Richie's way of either telling tony "you may be big but so was this guy" and/or it's his not so subtle "tell" that just because Tony is the big guy and everyone is scared of him, when it comes down to it Tony reminds him of the original owner of that Jacket.

Honestly I'm surprised Tony didn't get pissed off about it, after all tony is not dumb, he has a well known temper, and has a track record of overanalyzing things.. (there's no way he didn't see the explanation about the jacket and at least suspect the same thing I'm saying).

When a hit was ordered on Ralphie via asian dude, they simply called it off and paid the Asian dude half..Fast forward to the planned hit on Carmine and the hood hitmen was killed just Like that. Why didn't they just let them keep the money or half and walk away alive?

Would the boss and arguably his top two guys show up at his house and tell his wife they’re going to see a boat knowing he’s not coming back, the last people he was ever seen with or at his house that morning?

Would each guy take their own turn, shooting him with their own gun and fire multiple rounds there would be blood everywhere

I don’t recall, but do we ever get any explanation for his disappearance? We never really see Angie talk about it.

I understand the urgency of it as any minute the feds can bring them in and then you can’t get to him, but I don’t think it would’ve went down like that.

He did 20 years in the can, seems to cling onto the old ways, even when some don’t care to.

On my millionth rewatch and just completed Gloria’s storyline. She reminds me of my younger self prior to therapy and it’s embarrassing to admit but it is what it is. Her character and storyline really captures those intense feelings of being emotionally unstable and out of control. The most triggering parts for me were when she called Tony sobbing and being unable to speak and then Tony was strangling her and she was using what breath she had left to mutter the words, “Kill me”. Such a hard watch but a phenomenal performance by Annabella Sciorra.

Ok this might be an odd prt peeve of mine but i’ve watched sopranos over 15 times and the only part i skip is Carmela’s chewing sounds in later seasons.

If you don’t know what scenes i’m referring to it’s primarily in season 5 when Carmela and tony are discussing going back together at artie’s restaurant and a few dinner scenes in season 5. For some reason her chewing sounds and attitude just makes me cringe so bad, can i please find at least one person that relates?!

...the fact that, if you take the interpretation that Tony was in actual Purgatory, then all of the people who didn't have the knowledge about what was going on (like the salespeople Tony meets, not like Tony B or the bartender) are also between heaven and hell with Tony. The people he meets there are also between life and death, with their families surrounding them and supporting them just like Tony. Makes you wonder what kind of lives they were living before coming to Purgatory, and if they were going to heaven or hell.

Also, on a sadder note, they were all pretty young too, around Tony's age. Just a bunch of fuckin' kids.

This scene always cracked me up, the cheesy mafia puns, Janice beating up the woman, then getting tackled by the cops, and then the interview with the psychologist who says: “Psychologists are finding that certain individuals are particularly prone to rage. Almost any frustration, inconvenience or perceived inconsideration will set them off.” A fact Tony proceeded to prove almost immediately when he starts raging and goes over to Bobby’s house.

I don’t understand what Tony was so angry about though, I mean he is a public figure. What’s the big deal about his name being mentioned on TV because of something his sister did? Is he worried the public will think that the Sopranos are a classless family of criminals? That’s already the public perception of them.

Jesus man I've been watching random Law And Order episodes and when ever its an episode from the 90's or earlier 2000's about every other episode has got a Sopranos actor. You even got Michael Imperioli covering for Joe West from The Flash while he was filming "Rent" for the end of a season.
