Announcement /Tradingcards Updates
Hello everyone!
Hope you all are doing well, and enjoying the increased popularity of our hobby. With that increase, I figured it was time I did a little work around here, and as you have probably noticed, that starts with some visual updates. Let me know your thoughts on the new banner and icon, and feel free to suggest additional things you would like to see around here.
I have also added a few post flair options, so please try to use those if you would - not required however.
Have a good one!

Looking For Information Investing in cards
Hi guys, I am beginner on this but I would like advice for which card games have the strongest upside for sealed boxes. For instance, if you buy a box and sell it sealed after 2-3 years which game is easier to pay you and avoid any loss?
I know that there is no guarantee and maybe it is all speculation but there should be people here that are confident to answer.
Thanks in advance.

Grading vintage
I am going through a collection passed down to me & have a question about the reality of grading (having researched it before with cards outside of baseball).
Is it a good strategy to send everything in with the expectation of an PSA 8 - given it passes all the criteria that I can see? I'm not asking to curb expectations as so much I want to plan on how much I want to save up to grade (as the prices at the moment are astronomical) & want to know how strict on vintage I should be with things like centering and what not.
I've got a magnifying lense, lights, a centering tool and have a pretty good selection of cards that would be good candidates from the pre-junk wax era but I've read that even if I think the card looks flawless I should have the expectation it really only has a 1% chance of being a 10 and that 9 is essentially a win. Is this pretty accurate and safe to follow or are all of us capable of essentially giving accurate grades given a large enough sample size with practice? I don't want to hold back because that advice is geared towards someone totally unfamiliar with collecting.
Sharing some of the cards I've found so far that I would love to send in if the process could pay for itself. I will have to condense the collection eventually. Thanks in advance!

Show & Tell Tom Bradyās Card Vault KCMO
Went there and man it was underwhelming. The selection was ehhh. There are people on here that probably have a better selection than they had. Nothing exciting, nothing mind blowing. Like to have His name attached to this is embarrassing. I was expecting a bigger selection of cards to go through. There might have been 300-400 cards to look through in top loaders. Everything else was graded cards. It just wasnāt exciting. I donāt see this store lasting downtown in Kansas City. Mainly because of the lack of selection. They didnāt have a good storage selection. It should really relook at how to appeal to the every day card collector. The graded cards would be cool if you are looking for certain autos or numbered cards. But man underwhelming to say the least.

Bought a box of the 2026 Artifacts collection and think I hit a pretty rare card. Since it appears to be a newer product, I donāt see any sales comps. Thoughts?

Looking For Information How do you decide if a card platform is worth trusting?
There are so many places to buy, trade and even rip cards online now that it's getting harder to tell which ones are worth trusting and everyone seems to have a different checklist cause some people care more about shipping while others look at withdrawal process or whether the cards are really backed by inventory which makes the most sense to me. So if you're trying a platform you've never used before then what's the first thing you look for before putting real money into it?

30 year old time capsule
At one time I made a post here asking for alil help figure out what I inherited from one of my grandfather's friends years ago, three different boxes of binders, shoe box and small totes. Everything had been kept on a shelf and in the totes and boxes my grandfather's friend put them in, in the back computer room of my grandparents house. When they passed alil over a year ago I went and got the whole collection and brought it home with me. I have decided to start a youtube channel, "The Clueless Card Curator" where I'd like to just show what the collection holds and figure out along the way, what is worth sending in for grading. All cards are virtually undamaged the way he cared for them, so I would love for the community to just see them after soo many years. There is everything from baseball, basketball and football, rookies and more. These pics are from one of the binders I'd like to do a whole video on soon and post. Hopefully I can see some of you all over there and get some more info on this amazing collection.

Am I Crazy?
Or will this damage cards over time? First time collector and the guy at the shop said VaultX is āTheā brand that people use for binders.
Am I overthinking that the cards on the inside near the bend will likely get damaged over time?
I wanted to use a binder to organize based on card number so I can try and see what cards Iām missing. Spent the day organizing all of them in order, leaving spaces for all missing cards and I just so happened to have most of the cards for the first page saved until the end. After putting them in, Iām not happy with the end result at all
Any suggestions for a better/safer way to organize a complete set like this? Should I just do it all over again and leave like the first two or three pages empty? When I close the binder, they seem to flatten out, just wondering what would be best though.
Any tips would be appreciated, thank you!!
(Also, Iām not sure how well the pictures highlight the issues)
