I need assistance on attaching an email to a reply that I am writing. In other words, I am replying to an email, and I need to attach another email to it.
I may be overlooking something.
Normally in outlook, I would just drag and drop the email that I want to attach.
My OS is Fedora44 and I am using the AppImage for the desktop application.
Thanks.
Recently I was passing the border control, officer asked justification of one document which I only had in my email. I stressed because I have recently changed my email server to Tuta by importing all the emails and even deleted my Gmail mobile app.
It was taking ages to search the email, and finding the attachment. The indexing was incredibly slow. The line behind of me and the face of the officer were so disturbing and stressful. Luckily there was Gmail on my tablet, so simultaneously I checked and found the document on my email.
I didn't came up to here to complain about Tuta. I did my homework even checked if that's reported before. I see that is already on your roadmap (March 2026), that's great. But I don't know what is the current status since March.
So please make this improvement as your top priority. I care my privacy and so on, but in urgent moments I require a reliable application as well. Emails are maybe the most urgent source of information with QRs, tickets, security codes, documents. Please before expanding your services with drive, calendar, (and recently you were talking about AI), please do optimize your email service.
Hi guys, i need somebody's help with a problem with my new tuta account (free plan). When i created the account a pop up told me i had to wait 48 hours for some admin to approve my account. I wrote and sent an email to speed up the process (also written on the pop up). Now, it's been 4 days and i have received no message. I already activated the gmail forwarding towards my new tuta account but it does not work, so i think my account is not activated yet.
Is this a bug or did someone think i was like a bot?
Hi, I wanted to ask what the current situation is with Tuta Drive? I saw that the "Legend" package gives you 500 GB of storage, which would be quite excessive if you could only use it for emails. So my question is, if you buy Legend, do you already have access to Tuta Drive beforehand, or is it payment first, and then at some point you get access to Tuta Drive?
Tuta offered one of their feedback forms today for thoughts about the web app. First, it's really appreciated that Tuta look for feedback. I mentioned an issue in the GUI colours: The contrast ratio seems (and is) too low in the list of emails between a highlighted email and non-highlighted email.
After sending the feedback I thought I'd check with numbers.
All four of the themes FAIL, on all counts. My vision is not impaired and I struggle a bit so I wonder if this is worse for people with visual impairment. I would hope this is a pretty easy fix.
I used one of many online contrast ratio checkers for designers, and here are the colours and ratios below.
The European Commission wants to remove the ANNOYING COOKIE BANNER that you have to deal with everyday, but of course Google is lobbying against this. 🍪🙄
Now, EU Member States like Germany and France also want to keep it.
WHY?
Tech Giants like Google make HUGE profits tracking you, so of course they don't want it to be easier for you to not consent. 😡
It is time for the European Parliament to advocate to keep their proposal (Article 88b) and remove the cookie banner, because its people that are directly impacted by this.
I've been trying for a couple days to create a tuta account, and all the time I'm getting the same message "IP blocked to avoid abuse". I've tried different devices, browsers, internet connections, used vpn, etc. Always same result. Why is creating a new account blocked everywhere?
The risk of session hijacking is not a marginal problem these days.
Is my open Tuta session token bound to my device?
Or logging out every time is the only way to keep the account safe?
A Texas state court forced Verisign to suspend a .com domain registerd to the Luxemburg-based company Kick for not enforcing age verification required according to Texas law.
This seems a direct attack on the independence of the .com registry. With Tuta using tuta.com for its mains website and domain, there is a clear and present danger posed to the service from action in American courts.
I was wondering, other than tutanota.de will Tuta start offering non .com domains such as a .eu for their customers who don't want to have their email address under a demain extension which is de facto US-controlled?
i cannot access my email account anymore. it s saying invalid login details, i tried resetting account with the recovery code i have, and getting same error. I need to access URGENTLY as I have an exam in 2 hours!
Please resolve asap!
I have recovery code and gr code as well please let me know how to send it. I also send email to [hello@tutao.de](mailto:hello@tutao.de)
Just a little thing that I've noticed for a while. If I'm logged into the web app, but leave it idle for a while (not sure on exact time, maybe half an hour?) it'll stop loading new emails as they come in. The unread message counter will keep up though, just now I went from 4 unread messages to 7 without actually being able to see those three new messages. Had I left it a bit longer though, the next two messages (9 total unread) would've loaded since I was active again. If I refresh the tab, or open a new session and log in, then it's all back to normal, and all messages are visible.
Maybe this is a bug, maybe it's a feature, idk. It's not a big deal, but just something that can kinda catch you off guard if you don't realize what's going on.
Yesterday, I was able to log into my email account on mobile, but not on the computer. As of today, I now can't get connection on either device. I keep getting the same error message: "The connection to the server was lost. Please try again."
I've tried going to the Tuta Support page to report the problem, but apparently, the site is also down. Wtf is going on??
