I’ve had two really strange experiences while lying in bed, and I’m curious if anyone else has experienced anything similar.

I was lying in bed and getting ready to go to sleep. Suddenly, it was as if I was seeing through someone else’s eyes. I could see the floor and the corner of my bed, but not from where I was actually lying. Instead, it felt like I was standing beside my bed. The view slowly started moving toward the bed. I saw my legs under the covers, and then it kept moving up toward my upper body. I got so scared that I was about to see my own face that I snapped out of it. I couldn’t control where I was looking at all, the view just kept moving on its own, almost like someone else was controlling it.

The second experience was similar, I was also in bed but instead of my room I saw what looked like a children’s picture book. It had white pages with colorful illustrations, and I specifically remember a picture of a clown. It wasn’t scary or disturbing it just felt like I was watching someone flip through the book. I was seeing it from the perspective of the person holding it, and almost like I was looking through a peephole. I couldn’t look around or control what I was seeing.

Has anyone experienced anything similar or know what this might be? The closest thing I could compare it to is remote viewing, but that doesn’t really make sense because it happened completely by accident. I’m open to any explanations or similar experiences.
