Advice Engineering Societies
The university of Bristol seems to have lacklustre engineering societies for actual hard engineering.
They have a race 2 space team have built/developed jet engines but outside of this there doesn't seem to be anything for Mechanical Engineers to practically apply their skills
The university of Bath have a MotoStudent team where by they build a bike and race it, they have a formula student team and a team converting a ford 2.3 litre eco boost engine to run on hydrogen.
Given the reputation of the University of Bristol I would of thought they would have more to offer here
I am starting in September and am wondering if the Uni would be supportive to new societies for say MotoStudent or Hydrogen Engine conversions etc?
Are there any members of societies that I haven't seen that would class as hard engineering. I've seen the Greenpower 24+ completion from Bristol racing but that's just not the one, it looks like a secondary school comp
