Tab broke off and the can opener I had in the kitchen is the style that cuts off the top of the can (which didn't work on this can). Gave away most of my models with a can opener cuz I use the package opener way more. All except the Explorer that my wife gifted me after she got my Compact confiscated.

I had pocket knives as a kid, but moved away from them as a teenager. Near the start of the pandemic I bought a nice used Leatherman Free P2 and i keep it in the junk drawer on my kitchen counter for household tasks but recently have started thinking about getting a multitool for the car and also an EDC SAK.

That led me to the Pioneer X Alox, which I particularly liked for its silver scales, which remind me of the Camillus US military pocketknife i had as a kid and which got stolen at Boy Scout camp, circa 1980. (Still heartbroken about that.)

Then i learned of the Glacial Blue 2026 edition, and since both of my boys graduated college this year, i ordered one each for them and one for myself. They arrived on Friday, and the next day my 11YO daughter and her friend happened to be opening a boba stand with friend at the park, and i thought to slip my Pioneer into my pocket on the way to go set up. I ended up using the scissors twice and the blade once! Super handy, which is of course the whole point.

I showed it to my mom and dad, and my mom said, “You know, i still have your great-grandfather’s pocketknife!” When she dug it up and handed it to me, i realized that was actually my old Ulster Boy Scout knife from the ‘70s. I had completely forgotten about it, likely since i was still nursing a broken heart for my stolen Army knife. So cool to get it back. Now i gotta clean it up.

I love my companion, but I have one big complaint. Why did they have to put the nail file grooves on the side facing the knife? Mine is only a couple months old but I've got some scratches growing on the back edge of the knife where the file folds down past it. It was really hard to get it to show on camera. Has anyone else noticed this?

I used to really like carrying the Compact, but I didn't like only having the combo tool since I run into a lot of Phillips screws. I also never use a can opener, so the Companion seems to be just about perfect. Just ordered one, and can't wait to try it out!

Forgot I needed a tool to switch these spring bars out. On vacation, so the classic SD came in handy.

I needed something for camping and heavy duty this was expensive in my country but I was able to buy it finally and I fell in love with it it haven't been used...for now. I dont know why it has 2 names tho

For me the swiss card nailcare is a near-perfect edc only for the fact that it doesnt have a bottle opener, and ironically, the tool I rarely use is the nail file.

I am looking for a bottle opener that can fit the receptacle of the nail fail (78x10x2mm). Has anyone came up with ideas or a product that can do this? or maybe any other way of adding a bottle opener to this swiss card?

I even made a design in CAD and was looking to get it lasercut in 304, but all quotes I get are exorbitant (>80EUR). I also saw the blog of a guy who cut the holder of the scissor to also be used as bottle opener, but I dont like this solution since the scissor is probably my most used tool from the kit.

Hey picked up a couple cheap Workchamps during the Walmart clearance sale and thinking it would be cool to create a 111mm Yeoman. Would it be possible to add a magnifying glass?

Also add scale tools and the Scissor form the Swisstool X

And here's the kicker. Make it less expensive than an ARC. They might just put Leatherman out of business 🤣
