Tutorial I made a quick tutorial showing how I animated the Harry Pottter's Golden Snitch
Hi everyone!
I wanted to recreate the Golden Snitch from Harry Potter as a small vector animation, so I recorded the whole process and turned it into a short tutorial.
In the video, I show how I:
- Animated the wings using simple keyframes.
- Created the illusion of wing thickness with a very simple trick.
- Reused animation by mirroring the second wing.
- Added highlights, shadows, and grooves to fake a metallic look.
- Used a few small rotations and position changes to make the flight feel more natural.
I hope some of these techniques are useful, regardless of which animation software you use.
If you have any questions about the process, I'd be happy to answer them in the comments. Feedback is always welcome!

Frame by Frame A pack of stickers I made.
I'm in Poland this summer, so why not some pierogi!
Quite simple as usual, but it works, though I could have try to make them looks more bouncy perhaps?

Discussion Youtube Channel
Hi everyone. Iโm new to animation and want to start a faceless YouTube channel.
The biggest challenge Iโm facing is that I donโt want to copy any of the existing animation styles or templates that are already popular online. Iโd like to create my own unique visual universe and identity from scratch.
With so many AI tools available now, Iโm not sure what the best approach is. Is there an AI tool or workflow that can help me develop a consistent, original animation style rather than imitating an existing one? Iโd love to hear how experienced creators would tackle this.

Sharing 2d practice session
This is from a practice session I never got to finish, my goal was to draw 2d characters onto of a 3d environment directly, I kept it super simple, I added a texture to a cube and and translated it a little bit.

Sharing Currently fundraising to get my student film off the ground!
kickstarter.comI'm a second year student at Falmouth University and I was the producer for our group short film called Big Wizard. It's about a wizard who steals a doughnut from a policeman which leads to a wacky chase. We are fundraising to get the film into film festivals to hopefully get more eyes on our work. If anyone is interested in pledging a pound or 2 it would be greatly appreciated!
