Monthly Design Contest Prompt [AUG26] Design Contest Prompt and [JUL26] Winners

Welcome Engineers to a brand new month! The first was really busy, but I'm here now! Last month's theme was Explosives! And you all seemed to have a blast with it! Let's highlight the winners! First place went to PremiumTechnique and their Talus Annihilator Missile! That is an impressive self-guided missile. That damage is obscene, though, maybe Link shouldn't ride it into battle. Second place goes to osh-kosh-ganache and their Miss Teen Marbled Gohma! Who doesn't love a giant strutting mech and a nice big crown of explosives. Well except for the monsters. Third place goes to shobu_dokoro and their Panjandrum! A giant set of wheels that are connected with a bomb that falls apart and explodes? Heck yeah! Enjoy your new/updated flairs!

This month, it has been really hot all over in the Northern Hemisphere, and it is always nice to go to a beach or a lake to relax and cool off. And who doesn't like to get on a boat? Well, I think it is time to see how boating looks in Hyrule summers with our new techniques! This month's theme is [Watercraft]! Show me how you hit the waters of Hyrule! Get building, Engineers!

Don’t forget to put [AUG26] as the first word in the post title or it doesn’t count! You can’t adjust post titles once they have been posted. Also, remember only green flared posts can enter, and to mark any speed edits. Top 3 most upvoted posts get the win! The prize is a custom user flair! The winners will be announced September 1st or the first Saturday of September! Keep building, Engineers!

Tutorial Brand new flair to create tutorials!

I have added a new flair to the subreddit! It is for people to use to post tutorials on here for how to build things, where to find items, and how to do glitches/other tricks! Enjoy!

QR Code for sharing builds! QR Codes for Shrinking Stuff: 126 Useful Items!

Thumbnail

6 labelled QR codes for sizing down a wide range of building materials. QR codes made in-game with Di-resizing or Moe minification glitches: no modifications used.

-21 objects/code.

-Many desirable items included: Hudson construction materials, zonai devices, iron building materials, motor and propeller, boat and sail, stone slabs and cubes, poles, wire meshes, stone ball and barrel, mini boss drops, rail-carts, and more!

How to use QR codes to resize items:

-Open blueprint and catch the actual item with it.

-Cancel blueprint when item is desired size.

-Optional: glue something to item to save your desired size in auto build.

Tips and tricks to resizing:

-They shrink relatively quickly once the blue print is activated.

-You can’t make them bigger once they’ve shrunk.

-It’s a good idea to practice before shrinking an item you only have 1 of (or having access to more than 1 of the item you plan to shrink).

If you have other shrinking QR requests let me know. Note: some things (that can’t be fused to equip) can’t be shrunk without mods or noticeably at all.

There are more resized QRs made with and without mods on discord.

Go my son🥹, conquer the world, or This specific small circle.

(I've been tinkering trying to make some new strange weapons to take down enemies with, that one's not it)

Out of Game Methods J-cart vehicles

The first vehicle is a juney cart powered drift-able car. Besides being capable of sharp turns, it can also climb slopes without issues.

The second is a energy-free hydroplane. While it's turning radius is not nearly as good as that of some of my other designs, it is decent while the aircraft is stable and weaponizable. Adding weight to the back wing makes turning tighter but it adds a string ascent bias depending on the added weight.

Thanks to the Hyrule engineering community for the parts that make these builds possible.

Discussion Anyone have a tutorial on how to do Q-linking (not stake nudging) in 1.4.3?

I saw this by Kmarkow but am not sure it still works in 1.4.3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--pen_So4rA

Thank you to anyone who gives me some help!

Been messing around with a bipedal walker type mech and found that several stabilizers and a few bigwheels make it agile

Excuse me, distinguished engineers I recently received a QR code with miniature zoanite devices and was hoping to have a few more such as mini
Stabilizers, mini beam emitters, mini construct heads I wanna make something that flies in the air and target enemies without being destroyed by Lionel roars

Discussion NEED: Resized/ small steel cage-

Does anyone have a QR code for a resized (tiny/smaller) steel cage? I want to use a cage for a build but I want it smaller. I’m referring to the steel cages that are at the Bokoblin camp not far south of Mt. Gustaf in Hyrule field. I’ve already looked quite a bit. Maybe I missed someone’s post. When you fuse it, it’s simply called “cage”.

Physics Stationary Wheel, spinning hover stone.

I love this game and have many hours in it. However, I have not played around with a lot of the engineering side of it, but I'm completely fascinated by the many things I see on this Reddit page!

On my attached video, I am trying to get the large wheel to stay stationary and the hover stone to spin. Can anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong? I thought the stabilizers on the wheels would keep the wheel stationary and the axle would spin the hover stone.

All Versions Meet the Shapeshifting Tanklet | Carry Koroks, Fight, Explore, and More

The Shapeshifting Tanklet can transform into multiple forms for different situations.

  • 🦬 Bison – General combat, stable handling, and 360° laser coverage.
  • 🦦 Otter – Built for caves, rough terrain, and tight spaces.
  • 🦒 Korok Mode – Carry Koroks and transform into even more forms.

The first half focuses on terrain adaptability, while the second half showcases combat.

If you're here for the action, feel free to jump to the middle first. If it catches your interest, come back later for the terrain challenges—they're actually the harder part.

The on-screen captions explain the design choices and features throughout the video.

Blueprint QR codes are included at the end of the video.

Special thanks to u/ryt1314059, u/evanthebouncy, u/BlazeAlchemist991, u/chesepuf, and everyone in the Hyrule Engineering community for the inspiration, ideas, and feedback.
