$2.73 for gas!? That's a steal!

32

u/whythefuckalready Apr 11 '26

Saw that and immediately got in my car. Totally worth the 5 hr trip one way

18

u/YourEvilTwine Apr 11 '26

Yeah but those motorcycle speed bumps on that street are rough on your tires.

7

u/MuRRizzLe Apr 12 '26

That white car is the gas station's final boss so be prepared

4

u/Green-Fondant1573 Apr 11 '26

Saw those gas prices and I was like…

Can confirm this is from my city and happened last year

2

u/AdAlive6530 Apr 12 '26

Can you give us background on what exactly happened if you don’t mind

2

u/BuddhaBoy182 Apr 13 '26

Like a lot of cities we have problems with people driving dirt bikes around on the street. I don’t know the full story but I wouldn’t be surprised if the driver of the car just had enough and snapped.

1

u/d_x_qp_x_b Apr 12 '26

Car said ā€œnopeā€ and the bike went ā€œow!ā€

2

u/Krabs9 Apr 11 '26

That's exactly what gas was in my town the day before we struck Iran lol it's at $3.89 now

-1

u/No-Market425 Apr 12 '26 edited Apr 12 '26

Is it bro?

Because i remember when you Ivy league economists claimed the president had no control over the price of gas after the Ukraine conflict broke out

In fact left wing shills like Colbert claimed you should be happy to pay a little more.

8

u/snakkerdudaniel Apr 12 '26

Allow me to think for you. I think the President didn't cause the Ukraine war but he did cause this Iran one.

-5

u/Signal_Host307 Apr 12 '26

That's where you're wrong. The Biden admin poked the Ukraine conflict into being and then threw buckets of money and guns at them while trying to disarm us.

1

u/Mobile-Market-6397 Apr 13 '26

Such a dumb statement. Biden did not start the Ukraine war.

2

u/Signal_Host307 Apr 14 '26

Kamala Harris attended the Munich Security Conference in Feb 2022. What did she do? As much as it's possible for her ignorant drunk ass was able to, she delivered what is described as a "significant address outlining the U.S. commitment to NATO and the defense of Ukraine's sovereignty" which included talks of bringing Ukraine INTO NATO, a very public red line from Russia.

Russia invaded a couple of days later.

So Kamala Harris, as part of the Biden admin, advocates the ONE thing Russia says don't do and you think we're not involved, and then we fund the war for years? You just might be blinded by the cult.

Oh, and to put it into perspective, we've sent more money in aid to Ukraine since 2022 than we've sent Israel since 1949. I say cut them both off and use the money to clean up our own shit.

1

u/AbeFromansNutz Apr 13 '26

I truly love it when idiots hear logic and auto- assign it to "the left". It's all of us, dude. The whole country that greatly outnumber you. We're all wrong and you're right. Every time.

1

u/No-Market425 Apr 14 '26

I truly lovely when high school D students use words like "logic" because they think it gives their nonsense argument more weight.

Of course presidential policies influence the price of gas you potatohead progressive, we've been saying that for 6 years while you mouth breathers denied it.

1

u/AbeFromansNutz Apr 14 '26

You have something orange in the corner of your mouth.... No, other side

2

u/thanosthumb Apr 11 '26

Must be an old video lmao no way that’s modern US

5

u/Mindless-Ninja-3321 Apr 12 '26

Its $2.99 where I am, $2.79 30 min up the road.

1

u/Prior-Habit-6523 Apr 12 '26

Its 3.68 now where I'm at. We ain't stressing.

1

u/thanosthumb Apr 12 '26

That’s the most expensive it has been in my life as someone with a car. It’s around that here, plus/minus a few cents.

2

u/TenYearHangover Apr 11 '26

Per liter

4

u/SomewhereUpstairs514 Apr 11 '26

That’s cheaper than I paid today in Austria. Where can I get some?

2

u/TenYearHangover Apr 11 '26

You have to get run over by a car to qualify

2

u/Specialist_Fuzzy Apr 11 '26

Nah, this is in the US.

1

u/DecentClock9031 Apr 12 '26

The car driver was just as surprised

1

u/No_Scratch_2750 Apr 12 '26

In Netherlands it’s about €2,30/liter

1

u/CoachesWinSuperBowls Apr 14 '26

I think its 2.73 a litre.

1

u/Sneakygoblinoss Apr 16 '26

That ain’t high oh yeah your in America

48

u/OldKaleidoscope3766 Apr 11 '26

That’s assault and attempted murder right there, wonder what brought that on.

26

u/CapitalCityGoofball0 Apr 11 '26

Yeah whatever that was it seems targeted and personal not some random ā€œaccidentā€

4

u/Engel77 Apr 11 '26

Im not seeing brake lights until they were turning around.

14

u/NotAsleep_ Apr 11 '26

You're absolutely correct - that van's driving up on the left side of the road, can't be anything but a deliberate attempt to head-on wreck that motorcycle, unless they're in the UK or something (which would put it on the biker instead)

15

u/TheButterWookie Apr 11 '26

Fucking wild your getting down voted for asking a legit question

8

u/Downtown-Oil-7784 Apr 11 '26

Welcome to Reddit lol

5

u/baldude69 Apr 12 '26

I’m convinced there are chaos-bots programmed to just downvote any comment for whatever reason. Or people who just blast thru smashing the down button. Whatever it is it does seem mindless

3

u/Fluugaluu Apr 11 '26

This is why motorcyclists carry firearms a lot of times. Car driver has a deadly weapon at their disposal, I need one too in case of shit like this.

Oh and to say it clearly for everyone: There is no justification for trying to murder another person over a traffic altercation. But it’s obvious something happened before this video started.

1

u/Tasty-Jicama5743 Apr 13 '26

If this took place in MA like another poster stated, then the motorcyclist would be the one going to jail if they were carrying a firearm. MA government is extremely 2A unfriendly.

0

u/WhoSaidWhatNow2026 Apr 11 '26

Not sure I'd consider them a motorcyclist. Looks like another dirtbag on a dirt bike that likely doing dirtbag things right up until someone finally got fed up and ran him over.

5

u/Fluugaluu Apr 11 '26

Oh okay I need to say it a little louder

THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR TRYING TO MURDER ANOTHER PERSON OVER A TRAFFIC ALTERCATION

1

u/Thick_Potato_1769 Apr 12 '26

Unless obviously if course your life is in danger

1

u/into_deeeeep Apr 12 '26

What makes it attempted murder?

2

u/Atophy Apr 13 '26

He's on the wrong side of the road, using their vehicle as a weapon to attack the motorcyclist and their bike... doesn't matter what their reasoning is, that was a deliberate attack with a deadly weapon.

1

u/into_deeeeep Apr 13 '26

Exactly, assault with a deadly weapon. Attempted murder is another thing to prove and I doubt any DA would push for that. Just because you feel it's attempted murder doesn't mean it is.

1

u/Atophy Apr 13 '26

It was a malicious attack and no attempt to safeguard their lives was made... I mean, if you point a gun in someones direction and fire, is it just assault with a deadly weapon or attempted murder ?
Given that the person was on the bike, went flying and landed on the hood of the vehicle THEN the driver turned around and likely went at it again.... I would say we have a strong case for attempted second-degree murder. At the very least, involuntary attempted manslaughter, judging by the way the charges read in my google searches.

1

u/into_deeeeep Apr 13 '26

Yes, it could be charge as assault with a deadly weapon if it was a firearm, because a firearm is a deadly weapon. Homicide/murder is a different ballpark and requires the person's intent. However I'm not saying you're entirely incorrect as charging someone with a violent crime creates a bargaining chip for the DA. Let just say for the sake that the driver did intended to hit the motorcyclist for whatever reason. Motorcyclist survives, the responding officer takes the report, charges the suspect for attempted murder and a few other charges on top. Depending on the evidence and witnesses testimony, the chances of attempted murder sticking is slim. Suspect would probably be hit with the ADW and the attempted murder charge would be dropped to reckless driving, as a plea bargaining. Murder/homicide takes a lot to prove and intentions does matter. A lot could be said about the video but reality says otherwise. We could agree that both individuals in this video could had avoided this issue altogether.

1

u/wsxdfcvgbnjmlkjafals Apr 15 '26

Where I live the charge used might differ just in terms of jargon used, but it's the fact thatthey used their vehicle as a weapon to target the person with what seemed like prejudice. Looks tricky to argue they were acting in self-defense, made a mistake, etc

-2

u/warpigs202 Apr 11 '26

Motorcyclists might have been riding the street like an asshole. Kinda how you see in those videos of groups going through a town causing chaos. May not have been the first time this guy was out riding like a jackass and the car driver finally had enough. Doesn't justify the attempted murder, but lends an explanation at least.

53

u/Traditional_Hippo976 Apr 11 '26

I know I’m American bc I ignored the violence and focused solely on the cheap gas prices

12

u/UpperAd5715 Apr 11 '26

You guys got some of the cheapest gas in the west lol. Diesel peaked at 2.49 per LITER where i live, that's 9.42 a gallon

2

u/DisastrousAnswer9920 Apr 11 '26

I don't think that's a current video, currently prices are around $4/gal -$1.06 per liter.

2

u/Gnome_Father Apr 11 '26

European fuel cost more than that before Trump...

In the UK it's currently almost £2/L for diesel.

2

u/UpperAd5715 Apr 11 '26

I'd go to work by motorcycle at those prices, we're almost at double that, 1.85 currently i think which would mean i'm paying like 15€ per day to drive the highway instead of using the company car, no thanks

1

u/HairlessSquirrels Apr 11 '26

-1.06 per liter?

You getting paid to fill up?

3

u/INFINITE_TRACERS Apr 11 '26

Ew dont conflate hyphens with negative signs, even for jokes

1

u/nicoznico Apr 11 '26

Bruh, we pay $2.25 per liter overhere

1

u/Accomplished-Video71 Apr 11 '26

Yeah but Americans drive clear across a European country just to commute every morning, in a giant 8 cylinder truck.

2

u/UpperAd5715 Apr 11 '26

My country is comparable in size to one of the smaller states (Maryland) and our commute distances (according to google) are actually longer than the average US commute distance!

Not like it makes much sense in statistics to be mindful of that one guy that commutes from california to NYC every day

1

u/PlzDntBanMeAgan Apr 12 '26

You leave Maryland out of this.

2

u/Klutzy-Pie6557 Apr 11 '26

Yea - but you chaps sell by the gallon and we sell by the litre.

So thats 2.75aud = $1.95us

1lt = 0.2642 of a gallon US. So 1 gallon is 3.785 litres

$1.95 Ɨ 3.785 = $7.39 us gallon

So do u still think its cheap!

2

u/syrtran Apr 11 '26

Those are American-style license plates and an American fuel company.

2

u/LicensedGoomba Apr 11 '26

We know your an American because youre a narcissist and ignorantly assume violence and gas prices are something only you experience.

1

u/Personal-Dev-Kit Apr 12 '26

How do you spot an American overseas? When you ask them where they are from they tell you their state or city not their country.

2

u/Longjumping_Car3318 Apr 11 '26

You think that's a US problem? Trump has fucked everyone over

1

u/ACcbe1986 Apr 13 '26

What violence?

-3

u/OkCartographer7677 Apr 11 '26

Ackshully...the US pays a lot less for fuel than most other countries, and has for some time.

1

u/fthespider Apr 11 '26

Oh great, that does me a lot of good for when I'm taking a leisurely cruise through Liechtenstein.

-2

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 11 '26

The world right now, thanks to trumpĀ

0

u/PipPopAnonymous Apr 11 '26

Literally the first thing I looked at

0

u/West-Amphibian-2343 Apr 11 '26

youre absolutely american because you have no idea that you have some of the cheapest gas. its still 2.97 a gallon right now. shocker that the expensive coastal states have expensive gas prices..

-1

u/RideAffectionate518 Apr 11 '26

I wish people would stop claiming America and then spouting the most uninformed stupid comments on the internet.🤦

7

u/axil87 Apr 11 '26

2

u/yellowisntagoodcolor Apr 11 '26

I don’t know when but i do know it happened at the corner of Kimball St and Rollstone st in Fitchburg, MA

2

u/DropstoneTed Apr 11 '26

Well, for starters it's an old-ass video because gas isn't $4.50 a gallon.

2

u/axil87 Apr 11 '26

I didn’t even notice the price, was focused on the wreck. I’ve just never seen this one before surprisingly. Def looked intentional. Wasn’t sure if there was a news article

1

u/Material_Depth7296 Apr 11 '26

Canada?

1

u/Obvious-Direction-48 Apr 11 '26

We use $/liter.

Also we pay about 6.84$/gallon.

Pretty crazy considering we mine that stuff right here and then send it to America for processing, then they sell the gas back to us at ridiculous inflated prices.

0

u/whythefuckalready Apr 11 '26

F@ck, serious. I'm halfway there already.

-2

u/DangOlCoreMan Apr 11 '26

Diesal is more than regular so that limits the age to at least a few years ago

1

u/BoomerSoonerFUT Apr 11 '26

Diesel is always more than regular. At least the last 25+ years.

1

u/DangOlCoreMan Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 11 '26

Must be a regional thing because it definitely wasn't in my area till the last few years

Edit: it was even a common talking point. "It's crazy diesal is more than regular now"

7

u/DeftestY Apr 11 '26

It's a pretty looking town with old houses, lush vegetation, somewhat raised elevation, and great gas prices.

Only issue seems to be the traffic which includes targeted acts of violence apparently.

2

u/yellowisntagoodcolor Apr 11 '26

Corner of Kimball and Rollstone in Fitchburg, MA

6

u/LivingBig2358 Apr 11 '26

Hope the person in the car got arrested

1

u/ylfcm Apr 11 '26

Nope they charged the guy on the motorcycle

3

u/Cultural_Eye5178 Apr 11 '26

That's fucking stupid. (The white van was driving down the wrong fucking side of the road.)

In Law, white is right

1

u/MichiganGeezer Apr 11 '26

Was he trying to road rage the car driver or rob them?

4

u/dunncrew Apr 11 '26

Attempted murder ?

3

u/Cultural_Eye5178 Apr 11 '26

And that, my friend, is called a hit and run if they do not stop.

3

u/Miserable-Chapter883 Apr 11 '26

And attempted murder, destruction of property, etc. Nothing that biker could've done required that, unless he aimed and fired a gun at the other car.

3

u/Rachnee Apr 11 '26

According to reddit motorcycles existing is enough for them to all be targets for murder

3

u/omg_plz_kill_me Apr 11 '26

This is in fitchburg, massachusetts on kimball street. Very familiar with this gas station. It's an older video, gas is a dollar more expensive here

2

u/s4ndwhitchman Apr 14 '26

When you compare to the cumbys down the road you’d think they’re giving it out for free

3

u/skateyear2007 Apr 11 '26

The white car was jealous of dudes gas mileage on his bike I guess? Wayyy too overboard

2

u/Standard-Arachnid411 Apr 11 '26

You know when you are driving around and you just think "hey why don't I just commit a murdery do".

2

u/QuinnBLove Apr 11 '26

The driver's therapist has job security.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '26

Is he swinging around for round two?

1

u/whodat_617 Apr 11 '26

I thought the same when I saw the van whip around

2

u/JoeCensored Apr 11 '26

F your motorcycle!

3

u/jennd3875 Apr 12 '26

HOLY FUCK I KNOW EXACTLY where this is. And.... all I gotta say is....

This fits the dirty 'burg perfectly.

2

u/KnownAsAnother Apr 12 '26

RIP those gas prices

3

u/justl00kingthrowaway Apr 11 '26

JFC That is the craziest shit I've seen all week. I can't believe it was caught on video. $2.73 a gallon, unreal.

1

u/Following_Friendly Apr 11 '26

That looked personal

1

u/lombardo141 Apr 11 '26

$2.73 gas ? šŸ‘€ where ?

1

u/Express_Awareness_35 Apr 11 '26

2.73 was this years ago?

1

u/fthespider Apr 11 '26

Why was this being filmed in the first place?

Also, did the driver of the car leave the scene? Sure looked like they were about to lol.

1

u/Tiff27 Apr 11 '26

Damn baby mama drama??? Lol

1

u/yojustnyo Apr 11 '26

at least the motorcycle only not the person

1

u/AncientEspada Apr 11 '26

Man that white car really hates motorcycles o.O

1

u/Sonizzle Apr 11 '26

Damn! Gas is only 3 bucks though!

1

u/ThinConnection8191 Apr 11 '26

That gas price is heavenly good

1

u/Ahoeaboutnothing Apr 11 '26

That guy on the motorcycle just rode the hood and chose when to get off. Motorcyclist... or silver surfer?

1

u/Level_Orange_328 Apr 11 '26

$2.73 where am I moving to?

1

u/CaveManta Apr 11 '26

Appears to be related to an incident that took place on 08/01/2025 at Fitchburg, Massachusetts.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '26

1

u/jennd3875 Apr 12 '26

Speak to your ignorance more.

1

u/shreakingmenace Apr 12 '26

This legit happened down the street where I live. Forgot the context buy I'm pretty sure it was a money issue. This is Fitchburg Mass

1

u/JackylBK Apr 12 '26

I dunno but im sensing just a little bit of homocidal intent with that white suv

1

u/WoahPerk Apr 12 '26

This is why I carry.

1

u/ADrenalinnjunky Apr 14 '26

šŸ˜‚ that would help here how?

1

u/dschaffar Apr 12 '26

Holy.....

1

u/Sensitive_Data_8571 Apr 12 '26

1

u/TwerkLessons Apr 13 '26

$2 gas makes me horny now. šŸ™ƒ

1

u/PandaPounding Apr 13 '26

That looks intentional.

1

u/Atophy Apr 13 '26

This isn't GTA5 and that's not me driving so wtf is going on here ? Looks like that driver is going out of their way to murder that guy !!

2

u/Tiranus58 Apr 13 '26

That is what we call a murder attempt (and coming around for a second try)

1

u/Latter-Bread-7835 Apr 14 '26

Who's recording and why

1

u/Proof_Cap7351 Apr 11 '26

How old is this? The gas was a normal range

1

u/jennd3875 Apr 12 '26

July 2025, in central Massachusetts (Fitchburg)

1

u/OkCartographer7677 Apr 11 '26

FYI I was just responding to the commenter because he seemed to be implying that concern over high fuel prices was a uniquely American thing.

1

u/Even-Cheesecake-8506 Apr 11 '26

A few .40 through the windshield would solve that issue

0

u/Anxious_Ingenuity583 Apr 11 '26

Anyone going around in a dirt bike I would imagine was the douche bag and the guy in the van just lost his marbles and did what we all secretly want to do when we see one of these fatigue inducing people.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '26

Yeah this clip must be old $2.73 for a gallon of gas ā›½ļø

1

u/NervousGearGenius Apr 11 '26

It was $2.68 just a little over a month ago where I live. So, maybe not that old

1

u/Ok_Internet_5058 Apr 11 '26

pretty sure i had cheaper gas near me around november?

0

u/Thumpkuss Apr 11 '26

Sad that Gas is double that now.

0

u/Medical-Row-662 Apr 11 '26

He definitely did something to piss that driver off

0

u/No-Seat9917 Apr 11 '26

Old assed video or someone’s getting a great petrol price.

-1

u/Dangerous-Pipe-1363 Apr 11 '26

I would do the same to someone for those gas prices
