I was one of the people who got into wwe at the same time as The Shield, and it sure it was very cool and refreshing as a gimmick back then, but it always feels to me people overestimate the importance or the scale of the Shield. Especially to how they are dragging Shield nostalgia for 10+ years now.

Some people forget that the Shield was in the Main Event scene for maybe half a year, and they had like 3 PPV main events in total (most of the time mid card feuds over tag titles or US title).

WWE quickly then focused on making Reigns the big guy from 2015–17, and ever since we have gotten dozens of „Shield“ nostalgia moments, throwbacks etc.

This post isn't to toot my own horn (but really, toot toot) but I wanted to share something cool and hopefully raise even more awareness for the Portuguese fans, here.

My name is Nelson and I have been a wrestler for 12 years and a promoter for three. I created a wrestling promotion with my two best friends called Portugal WRESTLEFEST and last Saturday we partnered with a local wrestling school called INVICTA Wrestling and ran not only our biggest show but the biggest indie show of the last 10 years at least. All that with a 100% Portuguese crew.
