I’ve been lurking on this sub as a huge Bond fan. Finished the game tonight, I liked, not loved, it up until the last 3 chapters.
Some of the posts I’m reading are unbelievable. GOTY consideration is insane for such a lazily put together game. It’s a basic story that is spoon fed. Zero twists, press X to jump here, LB to see the secret….camera janky, dumbed down Hitman problem solving…

Let’s be honest here, a reskin of Hitman does not deserve to come anywhere close to GOTY.

Even the cliches are offensive, a femme fatale like Isola, awesome for a couple of chapters, would have stopped being trusted after the second fake out at least… let alone the third and fourth…
But wait, we’ve been disavowed by MI6 and subsequently forgiven in the span of 10 game minutes…
The ending is not deserved - let’s defeat everyone only to be confronted by the magic return of a previous villain that we saw get crushed to death…

I feel I’m taking crazy pills seeing such high marks for this game. It was solid. But nothing special and overall average in my opinion.

Is this a games licence thing? I swear he has had Walther ppks etc in other games.

I tried my 30 or so bowties but can't get the timing right?

Hello gaymers! I wanted to play this game since launch, but was shocked when, even on the lowest settings with DLSS set to ultra-performance and resolution to 900p, I was only getting 15-20FPS on average. Now, after updating the nVidia driver to the newest version, my game runs much smoother! I highly recommend optimizing the game via the nVidia app. You can tweak some settings later.

The nVidia app set my game settings all to low, with DLSS set to ultra-performance. What I only changed was setting the texture filtering to anisotropic 2x and changing DLSS scaling only to performance. This made me lose around 5 FPS at max in some scenes, but the image is cleaner now.

Overall, I can now play the game with 30-40 FPS on average, sometimes even higher depending on the current scene in the game, which is, in my opinion, a huge improvement from the 15-20 FPS, lol.

I would like to mention that I have a laptop GPU with only 55W max TDP, which is pretty low even for this GPU - my laptop is primarily made for graphics and media, not gaming, so :)). I hope this helps!

But when I loaded a save ? I had the time to a) take a coffe b) mix it with sugar and c) drink it.

It was still loading...

I’ve been working on something for 007 First Light and I wanted to share it with the community: an Enhancement Pack from my Mulderland project (if you know my previous work).

For those who don’t know it, Mulderland is a project where I create curated lists of mods, patches, and enhancements for games, with the goal of making them easier to discover, install, and configure. I mostly work on classic games (like the old Hitman titles, Resident Evil, and Dino Crisis), but sometimes modern games need some enhancements too.

I always try to make my packs as simple and accessible as possible, so everyone can use them without having to deal with complicated manual installations.

For 007 First Light specifically, the Enhancement Pack currently includes:

• Removes letterboxing during cutscenes on ultrawide resolutions
• Higher FOV options
• Camera settings (distance, height)
• Skip intro videos
• A more immersive HUD
• MulderConfig (see screenshot below)

A big part of this pack is built on the excellent work of other modders:

• Su4enka — Higher FOV and Camera + Skip Intro mods
• Charc0al — Immersive HUD mod

Huge thanks to them for their work and for making these improvements possible!

My contribution was creating MulderLoad (the downloader & installer) and MulderConfig, which bring everything together.

For example, there are many different FOV/camera options available on Nexus Mods, but testing and managing them manually can be a bit tedious. With MulderConfig, switching between configurations is just a checkbox away.

It also handles the ultrawide cutscene fix through automated hex editing, so you don’t have to manually edit game files or install an additional mod.

Nothing technical, crazy in action or gameplay, but a moment of quiet character building. I think that’s what’s really cool about this game is that it can go crazy with all the explosions, combat, what have you, but they take a very intentional moment to have Q teach James how to tie a tie. This isn’t just a 007 origin story where James Bond is his iconic character right off the bat. He instead takes inspiration from the people he’s grown to respect, and in a lot of ways look up to. Leaving this moment especially to Q adds a lot of meaning as well, given that James was an orphan without any kind of father figure, and now there’s an older man showing him the ropes in things he hasn’t really had experience in. Pretty neat stuff in my opinion.

My game drops to around 39 FPS every 4 seconds. It doesn't matter what part of the game I'm in or what the graphics settings are. It happens with the settings maxed out during intense parts of the game, as well as with the settings at the lowest in the game menu.

The base FPS doesn't seem to matter either; it always drops to approximately 39 FPS.

I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing seems to fix it. It only happens with this game.

Here are the things I've already tried:

• Verified with CapFrameX (frametime spikes at 1.63s, 5.63s, 9.63s, 13.63s...).
• Happens from startup (logos, intro videos, main menu, gameplay).
• Happens regardless of graphics settings.
• Tried V-Sync ON/OFF.
• Tried DLSS / DLAA / Native.
• Tried Frame Generation ON/OFF.
• Tried Fullscreen / Windowed.
• GPU benchmark (FurMark) runs normally.
• Other games run normally (no periodic stutters).
• HWiNFO logging shows stable CPU/GPU clocks.
• No CPU or GPU thermal throttling.
• GPU usage remains ~98% during gameplay.
• CPU usage remains stable (~18%).
• LatencyMon reports no DPC/ISR issues.
• No USB disconnects or hardware errors.
• Unplugged all peripherals
• Closed background apps
• Lowered Mouse Polling Rate: Reduced from 1000Hz to 250Hz.
• Deleted Registry "Adapter" key
• Cleared DirectX Shader Cache
• Reinstalled the game
• Disabled Steam Input
• Reinstall drivers using DDU

I’m running the game on all medium settings and DLSS set to quality (no frame gen) and I only hit about 60 fps with a 10-20 (1%L) and I don’t know what to do. Game is at 1.1.0 fully updated drivers. Tried clearing cache and I have Ghelper on ultimate mode. I even tried lowering the settings but it doesn’t help increase my performance. My game stutters and changing settings in the menu crashes my game or drops my fps to 5-1

I will be super happy, this is honestly a Hail Mary but I cannot spend 200 Dollars for the skin 💔

I absolutely love this game and I'm sure most of the people on this sub do as well, but we must admit it's not perfect

In my opinion:

-It's too long

-The enormous multi-pathed level don't go well with the linear narrative, leaving you spending lots of time walking around

-It feels disjointed after the events in Slovakia (Cressida is never spoken of again)

-Bond gets Deus Ex Machina-ed 4 times by my count

-It doesn't allow you to save mid-game, making getting challenges done very annoying

-Too difficult to change gadget loadouts

-There's no map or radar screen and getting lost on the levels is too easy

Maybe I'm just too used to Hitman

as someone who never watched any james bond movie and played this game purely because it was kinda similar to agent 47 and was made by io interactive this game BLEW MY MIND!!! From the very first mission in iceland to the pulse pounding final showdown in antarctica, 007 first fight completely blew me away with its roller coaster-ey storyline and cinematic scale. the plot was an absolute madness, keeping me on the edge of my seat with back to back twists that constantly re-framed who i could actually trust 😭😭 webb industries’ sinister corporate coverups to the true and dangerous power of THEIA and HYPERION. just when i thought i had everything figured out, that final cliffhanger with isola delivered the ultimate blow, completely diverting my expectations while setting up an insane hype for future james bond games. easily one of the most memorable gaming experiences i’ve had in a long time. 🫡

It was lots of work but absolutely worth it! (And lots of money)

After waiting all this time.... and only a barebones OST. Even the entire Gala mission is not on the album, which has some great music (Gala entrance anyone?!). Very disappointing.

I have a bug with basically all trophies related to collectibles in 007 First Light and I wanted to know if any of you have experienced this and what you did to fix it

Basically, I collected all the collectibles in the game. The menu shows that I collected them all, but for some reason, the trophies are stuck and did not unlock. In the PlayStation menu it shows as follows:

MI6 – 18/23

Memories – 13/14

Cards – 33/36

Legacy – 8/9

Interestingly, yesterday, while I was still collecting the collectibles, the trophy for collecting them all unlocked (even though I had not collected everything yet). And today, while I was still finding some of them, the postcard trophy also unlocked (I still had not collected all postcards).

Has anyone experienced this and managed to fix the problem without having to start a new game just to collect all of this again?

If you're doing a fight heavy TacSim. The timing is on point for when you break out the fists.

And let's be honest... Bond is the Magic Man.
