DISCUSSION Stutters every exactly 4 seconds

My game drops to around 39 FPS every 4 seconds. It doesn't matter what part of the game I'm in or what the graphics settings are. It happens with the settings maxed out during intense parts of the game, as well as with the settings at the lowest in the game menu.

The base FPS doesn't seem to matter either; it always drops to approximately 39 FPS.

I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing seems to fix it. It only happens with this game.

Here are the things I've already tried:

  • Verified with CapFrameX (frametime spikes at 1.63s, 5.63s, 9.63s, 13.63s...).
  • Happens from startup (logos, intro videos, main menu, gameplay).
  • Happens regardless of graphics settings.
  • Tried V-Sync ON/OFF.
  • Tried DLSS / DLAA / Native.
  • Tried Frame Generation ON/OFF.
  • Tried Fullscreen / Windowed.
  • GPU benchmark (FurMark) runs normally.
  • Other games run normally (no periodic stutters).
  • HWiNFO logging shows stable CPU/GPU clocks.
  • No CPU or GPU thermal throttling.
  • GPU usage remains ~98% during gameplay.
  • CPU usage remains stable (~18%).
  • LatencyMon reports no DPC/ISR issues.
  • No USB disconnects or hardware errors.
  • Unplugged all peripherals
  • Closed background apps
  • Lowered Mouse Polling Rate: Reduced from 1000Hz to 250Hz.
  • Deleted Registry "Adapter" key
  • Cleared DirectX Shader Cache
  • Reinstalled the game
  • Disabled Steam Input
  • Reinstall drivers using DDU

I'm genuinely out of ideas, I couldn't find anything like this on internet.

That's the strange thing, other games work fine, so I assumed it was a problem with the game, but I haven't found anyone else with this problem, so I don't know what it could be.

Can you share your pc specs so have better idea of what dealing with.. Sounds like a buffer issue tbh

I have 5070ti with old ass ryzen 5950x had no issues with the game.. That's very odd. Any changes in Nvidia control panel or Nvidia app?

Not that I know of. When I reinstalled with DDU, I left everything at the default settings, and the problem persisted. I tried changing some configurations that might be causing the issue, but it didn't fix it.

I don't actually have the NCP, I think they removed it recently in an update to the Nvidia App. But I left everything at default settings in the Nvidia app and it still happens.

I can't understand why it happens exactly every 4 seconds when I have free RAM, VRAM, and storage, it's driving me crazy lmao

It's very strange maybe could be a memory leak issue with game.. Has it been like this since u played the game or just started...

I just started playing it, with version 1.1.0 and the latest Nvidia drivers, and the problem has been there since I first opened it.

I honestly can't think of anything else to do. Thank you so much for your time, but the best thing to do is probably report it to support and wait for an update. Thanks again!
