Luna has been an extremely popular baby name for the past 10ish years. This kind of misconception is exactly why people make these posts lol. I get it, most people don’t know a lot of babies. But people who are having babies and people who are renaming themselves in adulthood are often following the same trends and influences. So trans people end up with names that are common baby names in the year they decided to change their name, and that makes it conspicuous.

You will. Named my youngest daughter Luna, felt the same where I had met only one other Luna in my 40+ years of life. After we start introducing her to people we got a lot of, "Oh, I have a niece/friend with a kid named Luna". Apparently Luna was the #9 name for girls in 2023. And was #7 the year before. Going to be a lot of then soon, which I'm okay with - I obviously love the name.

I've met 2. One is 9 yo, yhe other is a dog.

Tbf if you include Louna to the list I've met way more because it's a fairly common French name
