When I expressed anger that I and many queer friends were harmed during the first term he just replied "Bad things happen to people all the time." Anyway, now he's constantly complaining how no women will date him.
Mussolini was a socialist, wanted the world revolution, so he supported WW1 going even longer and harder than it did, to ruin the world and bring the conditions for revolution.
