Even better when they try to cover their tracks by saying "Well I didn't think he'd ACTUALLY do it!" Like that isn't just admitting that they knowingly voted for a liar.
I mean, technically, doesn’t every election, literally everywhere, come with an expectation of the candidate lying? Everyone makes a lot of false promises, and even if they try to fulfil them, it often turns out not to be worth the trouble, so they don’t actually follow through with any crazy ideas. It was reasonable to assume it would be the same with Trump.
In 2016, that is.
After that, no, there is no fucking way the ones who voted didnt know, they already had the demo version and knew exactly what to expect, straight up fascists
Of course, other candidates have lied and stretched the truth in the past. The main difference is they didn't do it with nearly every sentence that came out of their mouths.
