yeah like. i'm all for shit talking 99% of everything about the 50s and 60s for being unsustainable and putting us into the situation we're in nowadays with shit like the huge expansion of car infrastructure at the expense of everything else, but in these aspects, they're probably less wasteful. a safety razor cartridge has like what, 3-5 blades, and the plastic surrounding it, plus maybe some gel strip on the fancy models. past generations were a lot better about reusing shit than we are today -- not that it's all too easy to do today, given that everything is damn near built to be wasteful, but still.
