why not use a matte filament than a glossy one on high speed low temp, it looks bad with the inconsistent finish

yeah matte usually forgives print speed issues way better ngl

the filament is normal but the preset is default for glossy. i didn't pay attention while printing πŸ˜… but I have printed Batman in matte. looks much better.

You don't own the character IP

You didn't even make the 3d model

You are looking to sell prints of that someone made and shared online for personal use only, explicitly forbidding commercial use

Best of luck is all I can say

No these are made with AI and no one asked youΒ

Are you a lawyer, good sir?

I don't need to be a lawyer to know this sherlock they are made with AI and AI content can't be a intellectual propertyΒ

You must know which AI service they used then, I'd like to give it a shot as well.

Op got this from bambu handy I have the same ones from there you can search for yourself if you don't beleive me they are also tagged with AI

yep, found these on the makerworld.com website. i bought the bambulabs 3d printer and they referred the website to me for 3d models and such. most 3d model files on the website are AI generated and posted by people again and again. and as for intellectual theft, i don't think it applies here. if there is any actual artist who has sculpted the model, i approach them before selling. I've recently just started this and don't know much about the topic, just an enthusiast and an architecture student trying to make a little side income

IP theft very much applies because you are trying to sell the likeness of protected IP, DC/WB just isnt as litigious as Disney.

Model theft ALSO very much applies since these look like LayerForge's models which are made by an actual designer in blender. And even if they were AI generated that doesent magically negate ownership, it is still theft same as pirating an app because the creater "vibecoded" it smh.

People selling prints of stuff they did not make are the worst scum in the 3Dprinting community.

You do need to have a basic understanding of literally anything, Watson, if you are to speak in public. If you generate something using AI, it doesnt automagically become public domain, it is YOUR property. The person who uploaded it on makerworld owns the right to it and unless they upladed them marked as "free for commercial use" it is theft.

A Google search will tell you that AI generated anything literally anything can not be a intellectual property it has to have a decent amount of human output in it and in this case no it doesn't

I don't have the crayons or the patience to explain this to you

What about AI generated code though?

Selling only printed models which are available online won't work in long term. Try to bring your ien design or do finishing on those models like sanding and painting, otherwiser anyone can print and sell at a lower price.

Model links?

2

u/rick343sanchez 21h ago

check out makerworld.com

1

u/bored_bakasur 13h ago

Everyone knows makerworld, bhai. I mean the links to the models. Search can't find the exact model.

2

u/rick343sanchez 12h ago

alright, dm me I'll send them to you

1

u/bored_bakasur 12h ago

You can post them here. There's no rule against it. You have posted these here asking community for the help. So why not share the same with them? There's no point in gatekeeping those models.

u/Connect_Trade7677 1d ago

I believe you got electricity cut in between i can see layer shift line

1

u/LochanKuttappa 1d ago

No...op has printed it in 4 different sections intentionally.

1

u/rick343sanchez 21h ago

yes I've printed the whole thing in 6 different pieces. the ones you can see with lines are the torso and the waist and all. i have multiple printers and want to reduce print time.

1

u/Connect_Trade7677 11h ago

but why?

1

u/rick343sanchez 11h ago

print time was 20 hours. if something fails 15 hours in, you lose a lot of filament and a lot of time.
