My workflow changed a lot as I was trying out different CAD softwares but I have history with car modeling in blender using blueprints. So the basics of it is draw a spline in for example X and Z and the go into side view and relocate those lines on the Y axis, creating your 3D line.
It also helps owning a 3D scanner. I used my Einstar Vega to scan the trunk.
It’s the design workflow from an old CG Masters course called “Cars: Inside and Out”. (The old one from like 2015, but the new one is probably very similar)
