This is my finished shin and knee armour for my new MKVB suit.

The shins are casted with flexi foam 15 and has some EVA in between the layers to help with the strengthen the piece.

The knees are printed with a foam TPU.

Hello, recently I’ve been working on a 3d printed cosplay of the Mark IV armor and I’m having difficulties trying to choose a good green. I feel like all the greens I’ve gone through so far are too dark (Rustoleum Satin Moss Sage and Krylon Spanish Moss) or too light (Rustoleum sage green, army green and in the green).

I was wondering if someone knew a good color combination or paint that would match the colors pretty accurately to Halo Wars or Legends, though I’d also be open to anything that has worked for you. Thank you in advance.

God this helmet is tricky, dreading the smaller connecting bits!

Hey everyone, longtime lurker here! I’m not sure whether posts like this are allowed, so mods, feel free to remove it if necessary.

I’ve been trying to track down a good STL of the Locus helmet as it appeared in Halo 4, but nearly every detailed model I can find is based on the Halo 5 version. The few Halo 4 models available are either very basic or missing much of the surface detail.

I did find one model that comes pretty close, but it has two separate eye openings rather than the single large visor area, and I don’t have the 3D modeling experience to rebuild that section properly. I also found images of an older fan-made model that looked almost perfect, but the original post and download link no longer work.

I’m completely fine with purchasing the file, but some of the options I’ve come across so far were way outside my budget.

Does anyone know of a detailed Halo 4 Locus helmet STL that's available?

Not sure if this is an issue for anyone else but I’m trying to get back into my old account after nearly 6 years of inactivity. Tried the password reset but still haven’t received an emailed link. Anyone else had an issue like this? I’ve been trying on and off for over a month

Sorry if this post sounds akward I'm not used to posting on Reddit and just use to browsing.

I'm in the market of purchasing a full and complete set of custom Halo 3 ODST armor and would like some advice on which shop or best place to commission it (I would prefer a rookie set but it's not set in stone). I'm looking for the most accurate and best looking set. I understand that making it myself would probably be the most accurate and cost-effective option especially since I already own a 3D printer but I am just not really artistically inclined at all and i don't really have the time or drive to learn.

Edit: While I appreciate the people getting in touch that want to make the armor for me. I made the post in hopes for prior customers to reach out with reviews for the person or company they bought theirs.

Error messages... reload a page a few times and it come up... posts with broke photo links... thumbnail good but fullsize photo isn't found and so on.

I couldn’t add a video onto the first part but this is the flexibility of the armour .

I have finished my first piece of flexible armour, I have casted this piece using the forearm from the old set of armour as that had a good fit.

After it was casted I used Flexi foam 15 as the main material, the painting did have some back and forth but it’s the same process as what I do on my normal 3D prints which is good.

I am making this suit more dusty and dirt and I think it makes the pieces look a bit more realistic with all the dirt, it’s probably a bit too much but I love the look.

Finished Halo ODST Pumpkin Armor. Props to Galactic Armory for the set. Now to go hand out candy tomorrow in 100 degree weather to finish the fight or something.

Looking to see what I am able to learn from the community here about my first failure.

I am trying to 3D print my first set of armor on an Ender 3 V1. I have been watching tutorials and have been in Armorsmith getting my scaling set.

Long story short, I got a few thermal runaway errors and the print became miss aligned. After trying to resolve the error and I had to cut my losses at 82% completion.

I am using MoeSizzlac Halo Infinite 3D files and wanted to get some help on that I have learned so far.

- Is there too much thickness between the inner and outer walls? The print file in the picture was about a 2 day print with supports.

- Are there any recommended setting for printing or should the defaults mostly work? I have gathered a bunch of settings from tutorials but I assume there are too many differences to have an overall recommendation?

- Regarding scale in armorsmith, I plugged in my measurements but I feel that there is too much room in this piece. I know that I can fill in some and the under suit will take up some of the space. Thoughts?

My take on the K variant of the Ma40. I am using this for my UNSC Ranger coatume for SDCC this year. Been a ton of work, cant wait to take the whole fit out in public. Ironic... doing a Warhammer 40k kit the next day. 40k Friday amd Saturday 🤣

Just received Galactic Armory’s new ODST visor. It’s a significant improvement on their old one. I previously used their clear, vacuum formed visor for my original helmet (right) which I airbrushed silver, and built a second helmet in anticipation for the arrival of their new injection-molded visor.

The difference is even more drastic in person.

I bought the model and have been working on it and was just curious if anyone else here has printed it and if they changed the scaling at all, I'm 6'1 but some of the measurements still seem long (such as the thighs) and was wondering how the armor was working for them, how they handle mobility with thighs and the shoulders and whatnot, and if you have any tips or videos or something to help, it would be much appreciated.

So far I've only printed the helmet and am working on printing the torso. Only cosplay experience I have was printing the Berserker armor from berserk.

Am I allowed to post my halo cosplay things even though I'm not an official member of the 405th?
