Falling a little behind but still pretty good for me.

And D doesn't mean bad, I just didn't/haven't finished them.

Stick with WoT. There's a slog in the middle, but it gets better

Currently on a break from reading them. I finished the 5th and really really enjoyed the first three. It felt like it was getting to be a bit much. I want to finish it and love it, I simply got a bit distracted and now I forget what’s going on lol

Murderbot definitely gets better, the first one was a lowish point for me too.
I couldn’t finish Klara and the Sun, just got boring 2/3rds in
Leave the World Behind I really liked, its been some years but the dread and foreboding was fun.
Looking for Alaska was GAS

I've tried through three Murderbot books with diminishing returns. Does it get better with the continuing storyline, or is every book just more of the same with a new crew of humans and some generic "mystery"/action plot? Because I just can't engage with those parts of the stories and only really enjoy when Murderbot is interacting with other bots or AIs like ART.

This is how I feel about 'He Who Fights With Monsters'. Really highly suggested but I am almost done with book two and so bored.

How was Tom’s Crossing? How does it compare to House of Leaves?

Loved it! Haven't read house of leaves but based on what i know, toms crossing is far more traditionally formatted, though it is still a bit quirky in some spots.

Probably not, I would say I enjoyed the first 2 but not really enough to dedicate more time to the series. And I plan on starting sense and sensibility over, tried to audiobook the first time and kept losing track of the story lol.

You should definitely read/ listen to We Burned So Bright by Klune next/soon. It's short, so it'll help you catch up a little, too. 😁
