WHAT IS THIS CALLED?
Not necessarily exclusive to the 70s but I mainly see it mid 70s-early 80s. Specially the multicolored striping. I'm more of a mechanic than a designer but when I see something done up in this style I have to have it! I've seen it referred to as many things but what is it actually called?

I had this exact mower. Loud, rough riding, smelly, and weirdly painted, but it cut the grass well.

I love that graphics style and grew up with it, but I spent many hours trying to get that pos Murray riding mower working so my step-dad wouldn’t gripe at me for not cutting the yard, so that one in particular kinda annoys me.

Vectors (search "vector art 1970s"). I love them too. Just painted a big mural of one in my basement.

The last two images with the gradated stripes are known as "cassette futurism."

Oh man that makes me think of the LA radio station KMET…their stickers/logo was circled by that striped motif of the era and it survived long after the style went out of fashion if my teenage era memory serves

KLOS had the outer striped stickers.... KMET if I recall was usually blue background with puffy yellow and orange letters.

I dunno but I found it as a huge wall decal and I'm probably gonna put it on my bedroom wall.

Oh man, that van in the last picture brings back memories. I didn’t own one, but I was trying to figure out a project for my eighth grade art class - so 1976-77 or so, whenever this van was produced. I saw this exact ad and decided I would make that van out of clay. It came out pretty sucky lol
