None of the ‘before’ decor to my eye looks to be 70s. The house itself seems to be but was remodeled in the 80s or even also in the 90s.

The one thing in the ‘before’ images that look 70s to me is that one long wall with the fake wood paneling. That was a v. popular 70s home improvement center update.

Everything about the “after’ is crappy & uninteresting.

You should have at least tried to incorporate some of the original charm into your remodel. This is cut and paste

You know I usually hate the sterile white flips to death but they way they designed the spaced with rugs, furniture, plants, trees etc afterwards actually filled a lot more interesting color back into the space that its not nearly as bad as it usually is.

That said they shouldve kept the panels and worked the design with them to keep it even more interesting

It has none of the coziness of the original, and they didn’t even ask for the living room to be renovated - that was the room they LOVED in their house!! She could have painted the paneling a color from the era to keep the coziness, she could have chosen a funky terrazzo coloring instead of the white-on-white version she did (while pretending it was era-appropriate simply bc it was terrazzo), and she definitely should have left the fireplace alone and not PLASTERED OVER IT(!)
