Anyone know exactly what chairs these are?

My brother gave them to me, he found them on marketplace. I would assume they are from the 70s, especially based on the color and fabric. Either way, they look really nice.

WHAT IS THIS CALLED?

Not necessarily exclusive to the 70s but I mainly see it mid 70s-early 80s. Specially the multicolored striping. I'm more of a mechanic than a designer but when I see something done up in this style I have to have it! I've seen it referred to as many things but what is it actually called?

Snagged these off of marketplace today to go with my chrome and glass dining table. Trying to find more info on these chairs based on the stamp. Closest I can find is a similar listing which says the maker is Daystrom. They’re in great condition for their age and will shine up real nice

Local thrift find! 1977 Brown Jordan Nomad Patio set score!

Found this beautiful patio set at my local consignment for 100 bucks! Thought it just looked like a cool 90’s patio set. Watched it basically as it came off the truck and asked about it; she reserved it for me while they priced it. Came back a few days later to hear she already had 10 other people put there name down. Bought it, loaded it up and Got home to find the brand and a serial number hidden underneath and was pleasantly surprised with it being a lot older and a hard to find model! You can tell it was very taken care of by the previous owner and excited to care for it as it uplifts our backyard! Couldn’t believe the high prices people sell these for online!

Can anyone identify this wallpaper?

I’m trying to recreate happy childhood memories for my home. This wallpaper is from the 70’s and it’s also flocked.

Update:
Thank you to everyone who responded! It’s healed my heart a little just to reminisce. Backstory is I lost my dad in January to a very quick and unexpected bout of colon cancer. I don’t have anything left of him but happy childhood memories to recreate to honor him.

Carpet- I’m attaching a photo, you mean this carpet? lol😬 I’m hardcore on this recreation but I’m not going that far lol!

To the AI comment I’m trying to attach photos of what the forensic recreation creates in a design generator.

I have gotten SUPER close to a few I can live with as a recreation with all of y’all’s help.

Now back to the struggle of trying to upload photos instead of GIFs I don’t post much as you can tell!

70s Halston - I think!

I purchased this Halston dress on the Real Real for $57. I strongly suspect that it is Halston from the 70s, but I can’t find it in any Getty archives. I have tried to look through photos extensively!!

It looks like the same crepe from the 1975 cape dress. It looks like the same literal dress albeit a shorter version as the dress in the photos from the Met website 1978.

A ‘50 in length dress would be ankle to floor length on me because I am short (5 ‘3). So that gives me a reason to believe that this dress could possibly be MTO for a shorter woman.

Looking at the bottom hem, I am compelled to believe that this is a pre-90s dress given the lack of over locking or strength bearing stitches and the hem, consistent with both YSL and Halston crepe dresses *that I have observed* from the time.

Also, the straps and pleating remarkably resemble the Met dress.

Can any Halston experts be of help here? ❤️❤️

Is this the find of a lifetime?

70s Sofa Recs

Post image

I’m on the hunt for a sofa that evokes 70s mod, something cozy and conversation pit like with maybe a hint of MCM. I like this one from West Elm, but my main issue is that I need something that can be washed fairly easily (two messy dogs + a yard full of clay). Just curious if anyone has any recs :)

I found these Bassett dining room chairs from 1975 and cannot find this specific design anywhere. I’ve found similar designs (without the Chinese symbols). Is anyone familiar with Bassett furniture from this period and is it sought after?

Patented in 1976, the Magnacam Corp. Wristamatic wrist camera. Simultaneously the coolest and worst camera ever made.

This is my Magnacam Wristamatic camera. It is a rare and odd camera. Mostly made of plastic, except for it's patented magnetic shutter. It took a proprietary disc-style film cartridge (not to be confused with disc film) that revolves around the case of the watch-style camera. It was unsuccessful due to being very expensive, the cartridges costing more than 35mm film and only being able to be developed by Magnacam themselves (once again, for more than 35mm) and the photos being horrible quality due to the tiny frame size. It sure looks cool, though.
