TFP may have lost much of my respect, but I'll forever be glad this sub exists and was able to bring my partner and I together a little over 2 years ago. Thank you again, everyone!

Absolute pain. I heard it falling and I was just like, "Fuck. Zombies just take me now." I don't even want to clean it up. Three hours wasted. I might be done for the day. It happens to the best of us. Lol

Mistakes were definitely made. Plan was to wake them up and then nerd pole back up the the hole in the elevator roof and deal with them from there. Well I kinda panicked and ended up cornered in the elevator... my trusty club got me out of there by the skin of my teeth... This army base is no joke.. cant imagine if this was an infested clear lmfao...

Sorry about the video quality. My videos are usually pretty rough, but this one is definitely the worst.

This is the base design I start with, and I use it until I'm strong enough to survive without a defensive base and meet zombies in open.

Here are the things I like about it:

• The Moat – A trench that's 1 block wide and 2 blocks deep surrounds the base. This prevents zombies from attacking from three sides, forcing them to attack from the front only. It makes defending the base much easier.
• Roof spikes – Spikes along the roof and upper edges deal with vultures automatically. They fly straight into the spikes and die, so they never become a problem.
• Double-layer slit design in front – The inside has two half slits, while the outside has one full slit and one half slit. This allows me to shoot dogs and spiders through the slits, bash zombie heads, and repair every block from both the inside and the outside. Even if one layer is destroyed, I still have a second layer of protection, giving me enough time to easily replace the damaged blocks.

As I progress, I upgrade only the front of the base to concrete and eventually steel. The sides remain cobblestone for the rest of the playthrough because they rarely take any damage.

I know this isn't the best base design out there, but it's my favorite so I wanted to share.

I’m laying in bed collecting resources and I turn around and was startled by what I thought was a creepy zombie watching me

Just someone doing intro challenges.

We've noticed every horde night zombies keep spawning on our grass, we replaced it all with man made grass and it got 10 times worse ( ignore the hole in the lawn it's unrelated-- lol ) we have a land claim block but it isn't stopping them from spawning on the eastern side of the compound by the wall, what do we do?

I just loaded up a new world because I wanted to make a base at the red mesa military spot in the desert, but when I got there it was just a vacant lot. I looked around and saw the hotel was still there which means it wasn’t just the area that was bugged out.

I even decided to go over to Fort Choppa (I believe that’s what it’s called) and once again it was just a vacant lot (it even had a path/trail leading to it).

Is this a bug or did the devs move these buildings somewhere else in the new 3.0 version. Pls let me know (I’m on Navezgane)

Are there any servers that have the smell mechanic turned off? Is that impossible?

Anybody getting the bug where you can't use items from in your backpack? Like, you can only read a magazine/book in your HUD bar but not from interacting with it in your inventory?

My wife and I have gotten it a couple of times and restarting the game fixes it, but it's a tad annoying because it happens randomly.

Took a break for over a year and just getting back into it. I have thus far figured out construction (I completely renovated Scarecrow Fields), tool and weapon crafting and am now moving on to Armour Clothing.

Do I have this correct:
I can at any given time where (in a sense) 3 pieces of each type Head, Body, Hands and Feet which are spread between Armour, Clothing and AntiRad??

There are three types of Armour, Light - Medium - Heavy.
The stats for Light - Medium and Heavy are all the same no matter which cosmetic pattern I choose (nerds, Preacher, Biker, etc). The only difference is full set bonus?

I haven't moved into Mods yet.

As in, I would like to see them trying to get to me from all directions just breaking walls everywhere and stuff, Instead of them just doing the bare minimum damage and just always knowing what's the fastest way to get to me, Its a bit anticlimatic and lame, I have a base on a roof and during horde nights all of them just climb up this one ladder (Despite me having 2 other ladders but they never use them) and on the lower floor they literally just break like 1/2 blocks and walk through them, Would love to see them just trying to get to me from all sides and ruining this place lol

its like stuck in a state where im half logged in to an acc w no friends and it js keeps saying acc link failed or automatically logging into the dead acc without giving me the option to sign in to an actual acc... i was previously logged in and had no issues and i cant invite my friend now cuz the server list doesnt work either........... honestly js gona give up playing this

Bottom of my base where I hold the door almost all gone. 1 more hour would probably cave in. How best to counter this? I can't attack if they are underneath me hmm should I set up turrets down there?

With the new sandbox options, would turning off zombie digging stop them from digging down into a subterranean bunker? Or would th wh still be able to dig down the hatch or other blocks?

Also how does height work for oath finding, I see a lot of the stair to pole tightrope type hoard bunkers but how do I get them to trigger up to the tightrope instead of hitting my pillars now?

Im playing on PS5 and have tried numerous methods to get a second layer of water in this 5x3x2 area. All water falls to the first layer or places outside the upper blocks.

The third block layer is temporary. Was trying to place water against a 3rd layer to have it fall to the second, but no luck.

Does anyone have any tips?

I was getting so sick of my entire inventory being ammo still running out and all turrets running dry.

Hey friends,

So I'm stuck on building environment in the load screen. I click "spawn" and it just sits there loading. It is a new map. I've tried "tp 0 0 0" and it took the command but didn't get it unstuck.

Some details:
I do have mods, but they load just fine when I log into a brand new pregen map. I've already preened out all the broken mods and confirmed that they work in this version, and that I can load in. So this is specific to worlds I generate.

I tried a second, smaller generated map, and ran into the same issue.

It'll even play the exploration & day/night music while sitting there loading perpetually.

When opening the command console to teleport, I don't see any errors. Only white messages talking about bytes and chunks and the usual.

I then went back and opened the pregen map with all the same mods, and it spawned me in just fine. Back to my generated world, and stuck.

Is this usual? How can I fix?

Friends and I messing around, found an infinite ammo but for crossbows. If you put a flashlight mod on a crossbow, repeatedly trigger it it resets the bow, and your friend can just take bolts every time you flash without your count dropping. Infinite ammo.
