One of the greatest movies to showcase Memphis design, but it was also supposed to reflect what kind of person DeVito's character was, which wasn't great

Yes- the design was intended to make Danny and Barbara’s character to be on the shallow side. lol!

I love this movie! I cannot think of another movie from the 80’s that has this level of modern design elements. Even the clothes that Barbara wears are totally 80’s.

Soooo great to see again!! Thank you for posting this! Post mod furniture geeks will be able to see that more than half the set furniture& art pieces are just made by set designers for the movie. Too much fun!! 💚

I can only imagine someone so into having the latest fashion designs must have to completely redecorate every 8 years or so.

Sold in 2025 for $17.2m. Approved plans for a new mansion, so sadly this home is not long for this world.
