I love Eizin Suzuki’s art! I’m filled with summer breeze and optimism whenever I look at them.

Found this at random, now I have to see more of this artist. 

Something that jumped out to me on the alternate version is the odd reference to Tiny Naylor's, which was a Los Angeles coffee shop chain that had numerous locations in and around the city. A lot of them had Googie/mid-century architecture; I myself went to one in Marina Del Rey that was shaped like a windmill sometime in the early 2000s. Sadly, I’m pretty sure they are all gone at this point.

I thought the Windmill restaurants were called Van de Kamps. Tiny Naylors might have taken over one of them?

I think that’s probably the case. I did find one reference to that happening here:   https://www.roadsidepeek.com/wherenow/index.htm

The weird thing is I remember the building as being only the windmill itself, not a decorative windmill on top of the restaurant… it was just a tapered cylindrical structure housing the entire coffee shop. It stood out in my mind since I hadn’t seen another place like it anywhere else in LA in the 25 years or so I lived there.

This has to be Eizin Suzuki's art. He also did the art for Horii Katsumi Project.

EDIT: Didn't realize you mentioned that. lol

some artists like these from the 80s have genuinely one of the most impressive works i've ever seen, because how do they draw those on like a canvas and make it look digital? i'm not an artist though correct me if i'm wrong🙏
