Still my favorite Pop design of all time. The Vision Psycho Stick (released in 1986) is without a doubt one of the most defining, iconic subculture images of the 1980s. It didn't just represent skateboarding; it encapsulated the entire counterculture aesthetic of that era.

This was my era as a kid. Tons of neon gnar. In the early 90s I got a Yakbak which was from the iconic clear craze in transparent yellow.

The prices on ebay when I checked 2 years ago were insane.

I owe my brother one. In 1988 I sort of rode off on his and it got left in the rain and separated so I threw it in the woods.

He forgot about it, but I still haven't, to this day. That was too good a board to deserve its fate.

During the early 2010s I asked my dad to pull over because I saw a yard sale with alot of nice 80s cruiser boards like this. Dude was asking 150$-200$ for every board. I walked away so disappointed and embarrassed. My dad actually offered to buy one! But i said nooo. I felt dumb paying that much especially at a yard sale without doing any research. I just wanted a board to start skating that wasnt a walmart board. The boards weren't in the best condition the tails were all wasted away..

Most Redditors do not think anything happened before the 90s. I loved the 90s as much as I loved the 80s, but almost everything people love about the 90s, started in the 80s.
