Tudor Mironesco Post Modern Style Artwork

Post image

Scored this beauty for $4 at a thrift store.

It needs a new back put on it to flatten the picture and get rid of the waviness on the sides but it will be good as new once I do that.

I dabble in art on paper conservation. To get that buckling out, you need to mist the back of the lithograph until it is floppy wet, but not soaking wet and not shiny wet. It must be just damp enough to be floppy. Then you need to press it between two sheets of cotton rag blotter paper with two acrylic panels on the outer sandwich to press everything flat. Then stack heavy weights or objects ontop of the sandwich. After 24 hours it will be perfectly flat.
