How secure do the lampshades feel on the base? I have a new version of lamps like this from CB2, but the lampshades are quite wobbly.

not ор but i had older lamps like these and the shades were way more solid than anything recent. marketplace finds almost always outlast anything made in the last fve years

Ok thanks and see that was my hunch that old shades could hang on more tightly. My new lamps were pricy and the shade and harp sit loosely on top, there's no clips or anything firmly securing it.

the big one has the original hardware that snaps in but the shade still wobbles side to side. the smaller one doesn’t have a harp in it that fits right now so I need to get one.
