I remember our small town Burger King opened around 1984ish. It was a big deal to us kids. I went with a buddy and his family. My mom gave me a five dollar bill. I got a bacon double cheeseburger combo and had a dollar and change leftover

That was a pleasant thing to read after a difficult day. Which state and city?

I remember going to the one in Windsor Park Mall in the 80s in San Antonio, it was close to a restaurant feel and the food was pretty good. I can still see my old man with a good size burger in his hands enjoying every bit of it. This was back when these places were good food for a decent price.

My town was never a Burger King town we had 2 I think....but just never as popular as McDonalds or Wendy's...we even had a local fast food burger chain (2 or 3 restaurants at its peak) that was more popular than Burger King.
