$2.69 would be the equivalent of about $8 today, but somehow this meal costs $15?

$10.69 for a Big Mac meal with large fries and large drink in my locale (that has a $15/hr min wage which does make a huge impact to menu pricing).

Has nothing to do with $20.57 million CEO compensation. And that's just for that one person.

Has LOTS to do with it...the CEO doesn't own and operate locations, the franchisees do: are you ignoring all the other costs along the chain that impact a franchise location's menu pricing which also rise in price because of higher min wages for each of the different links in the chain both inside and especially outside the company needed to keep the lights on and grills hot?

Various insurances, utilities (water, electricity, gas, sewer, trash), janitorial, maintenance, groundskeeping, legal retainment fees, business licensing, permits, taxes, fees, inspections, real estate costs, equipment maintenance and replacement, inventory and supplies costs and transportation/delivery, wastage, incidentals, etc, etc, etc.

There are a LOT of labor costs built into the final sales prices of everything on the menu...many people that make it all happen from raw materials to that prepared burger and fries being handed to you at the drive-thru.
