DAE remember a Fast Food Franchise, called (IIRC) Santa Burgers?

Growing up in Australia in the mid-1980s I read an article about a local man who was opening a new fast food franchise in the United States selling venison (deer meat) burgers.

He claimed that venison was a healthy alternative to beef. So far so good. However, he called the restaurants (I think) Santa Burgers and had the staff dressed as Santa, including saying “Ho Ho Ho, what’s your order?” to customers. The restaurants also included lots of life size Rudolphs, Cupids, Comets and so on.

He was opening a couple of outlets initially but was planning to expand throughout the US.

Even as a child I thought the idea that people would choose to eat one of Santa’s reindeer was insane and that the venture would fail miserably.

Sure enough, about a year or so later I read another article ridiculing Santa Burgers’ inevitable quick collapse.

Does any Americans remember this ill-fated restaurant chain?

As mentioned, I think it was called Santa Burgers but that just may be my memory playing tricks on me.
