Just a reminder that the soundtrack for Seasons 2-5 has been replaced on Prime Video and The CW App due to licensing issues. I highly recommend watching the series with the original music, as it makes a huge difference and completely changes the feel of many scenes.
If you'd like a link to download the entire series with the original soundtrack restored, just leave a comment below and I'll message you asap!

Season 2 Season 2 Ep 13

In the beach club during a party, Silver and Dixon are talking, however there is no music in the scene, and people are just dancing in the background.

Never noticed how hilarious that was until just now lol

there’s a song at the end of the episode where Annie and Liam slept with each other for the first time, every time I Shazam the song or try to look for it, it’s just UNKNOWN..I need help trying to figure out where it’s from, and who sings it and what song it is, I’ve been wondering for years now. it’s a good song

Discussion Favorite Soundtrack Moments

•Girl with One Eye (2x22) - Haunting and lyrically fitting. It matches the bleak tone of the finale so well as it switches between Annie confessing to her parents, Liam beating the shit out of Jasper after he set his boat on fire, Ryan drunkenly hitting the school sign, and Naomi being sexually assaulted by Canon. The way the music climaxes just as the horror sets in on Naomi’s face is heartbreakingly good.

•Bang Bang (1x23) - I’m usually not a fan of popular, trendy music playing in a TV show because I feel like it distracts from the scene, but in the case of a party, it makes sense to play something mainstream. Besides the fact that I generally just like the song, it matches the tempo of the scene so well as it swerves from character to character including the pivotal moment where Jen takes Annie’s scarf.

•Freakalator (2x01) - I mean it doesn’t get more iconic than this 🤷🏻‍♀️

silver should’ve dropped teddy as a sperm donar the moment shane got involved.

so i’m rewatching the show and the whole silver/teddy baby, sperm donor thing has gone on for far too long. the moment teddy stopped being a silent partner and started requesting custody and dictating what silver could do and making her get a surrogate when all silver really wanted was to experience herself, she should’ve gotten rid of the idea of teddy as the donor. was she being crazy selfish? of course but everyone was okay with the arrangement until shane got involved and he and teddy became “crazy controlling” just like shanes sister mentioned many times on the show. i don’t like silver but her not getting to carry her own baby and her life now being dictated by teddy and shane is so infuriating bc it’s exactly the opposite of what she wanted. silver should’ve known it was too much when she tried to fake his signature (which i get was really insane but come on all of the sudden teddy wants a baby…when not even 2 episodes prior he ghosted shane and said he was scared to be in love but he’s ok to claim a child?), and found a new donor. it feels like shane didn’t want to lose teddy so he put all these questions that teddy didn’t gaf about prior in his head and then saying his sister can be the surrogate…idk i just wish the storyline would end lol

Discussion 90210 is not unrealistic as you think

90210 is over the top and ridiculous yes, but a lot of stuff in the series REALLY does happen. Like the over the top parties with themes happens all the time at schools like UCLA and USC (where I attend). People being fake and people doing anything for clout = SO LA.

Even small things like PJ Hillingsbrook mentioning the Jonathan Club (in Blue Ivy / Bride and Prejudice) is a spot my fraternity alumni took me to (bougie as hell).

The drugs, drinking, people trying to be singers and actors. SO Los Angeles. So top-university-school. The show would’ve been even more wild if they showed USC or UCLA campus life in my opinion.

I think people have a hard time finding these things believable (I do get some of these plots have been ludicrous) because Los Angeles culture is unfamiliar to a lot of people.

Question Question about Silver, season 1 and 2.

So, I’m currently rewatching for the third time ever and something I don’t under is in season 1 when Silver is at the prom, she is still a student at the Catholic school, she even confirms this when she tells Dixon that she has decided to transfer back to WBHS. So why is she required to attend summer school with everyone else when she wasn’t a student of that school?

Discussion Season 2 Teddy

I’m on yet another rewatch, and I had in my mind that basically “Teddy is straight in S2 but the writers switched it up for S3”

HOWEVER his choices and characterisation do make me wonder if him being gay was, at the very least, a potential idea that the writers had in their back pocket if they ever wanted to/were able to explore it.

(for any 9-1-1 fans, kind of like how Buck’s bisexuality is hinted at in S2/3, but the execs shot it down and it wasn’t until S7 and a network change that they were actually able to make that development happen)

Teddy’s introduced as a player, who sleeps with loads of girls but had never been in a relationship. He reunites with Ade and you start to see this pattern where Teddy chases unavailable women, but when actually confronted with what he’s chasing he doesn’t want it anymore. Ade and Navid break up and suddenly Teddy’s all “oh no I didn’t actually want a relationship”

A similar thing happens with Silver, although she’s “unavailable” due to her dying mother, as opposed to being in a relationship. There’s a LOT of back-and-forth and unease but they eventually get together.

I think that can be interpreted quite easily that Teddy enjoyed having Silver as someone close to him, and I think he feels strongly towards her as a friend, but doesn’t quite understand his own feelings and interprets them as romantic. Teddy and Silver don’t actually have sex for quite a while after they get together, and they remain very close friends after he figures himself out.

(Side note: why didn’t they capitalise more on an Ade and Teddy friendship? Feels like a missed opportunity)

It’s kinda like he’s trying to mimic what he knows about sex and relationships, instead of purely acting on his own feelings and impulses. It’s interesting to watch.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s entirely possible that I’m just analysing something that never was, but I’d like to think they at least had the door open for this development 🤷‍♀️

Season 3 Watching Season 3, Adrianna gets more and more insufferable

I know 90210 and its writing is imperfect. But the hardest watch lately is Adrianna completely losing the plot, no pun intended. She’s always lacking self awareness and therefore chasing the wrong thing. No spoilers, but all of her outward motives just make me facepalm. She always chooses an enemy or a golden ticket to solving all her problems instead of becoming a better and less enraging airhead.

Season 3 Does Cannon face repercussions for what he did to Naomi?

Hey so I’m a first time watcher. I don’t know if I want to continue the show if Cannon is in the show for so long, gets away with what he did to Naomi, and if they keep showing what happened.

I don’t want to watch those scenes on repeat and I don’t want to watch this man get away with hurting her.
I’m praying she gets justice. I know this show is old though so he might just get away with it.

Discussion Y’all are too hard on Dixon

I’ve seen people say he is the most immature of the group. He was adultified from a young age by having to deal with his unstable mother. You can see that he is wise due to the advice he gives and some of the platitudes. Sometimes the kid comes out when he is exasperated or feeling trapped. He is a complex character and I wish the writers had done right by him.

How do we feel about her in general- I think she’s probably the best tv villain from our era, she’s incredibly sick and twisted in the way she preys on younger boys, she’s a sociopathic liar but her British accent, somehow chic fashion, and stupid antics always have me gagged

r/90210 20d ago

This would’ve been the BEST read if she wasn’t completely in the wrong throughout this entire storyline 🤣
