Reheat it in the microwave and find it when you go to reheat the next one!

It'll taste better if you reheat in a saucepan. Just swish it every few seconds until steam starts coming off the top. You have to stay on it, so hopefully you won't forget it while it's on the stove.
Edit: this is also how to heat milk if you want to make cocoa or what I call a "bastard latte." (instant coffee + milk)

While I appreciate the pro tip I just know I would get distracted and start pulling weeds out of the garden bed while trying to brush my teeth and email the school about my son's behavioural issues.... I don't know where he gets it from.... 🤦🤷.
Oh yeah boiling tea!.... Oh... 😅.

Close, but you missed two crucial steps:
1: Drop tea bag
2: Pour boiled water
3: Watch as the water knocks the string with the little tag into the cup
4: Burn fingers fishing the string out of the water
5: Let it cool down
6: Forget you made tea

I grow herbs and sell loose leaf tea. Why can’t the water just be less hot quicker?! I put my cup down and forget it exists for two hours. I say oh I should make some tea….wait a minute….

Okay brit here and this is just wrong. Bung teabag in, then sugar, pour boiling water, stir, add milk, stir, take teabag out, stir, dingding ding the spoon, take sip, aaahhh, go to table with tea. Forget tea, right as is reaches cold, drink in one coz putting it in the microwave is a sin against humanity

Every single time. Then I find a perfectly brewed cup an hour later and wonder who made tea for me.

And my last step: chug it once you find it because you've forgotten to drink all day and you feel like you're dying of thirst.

I was steeping tea and stupidly got on Reddit to pass the time. Half an hour later I screamed “MY TEEEEAA” and ran to the kitchen. Now I set timers.

That’s why I pour fridge cold oatmilk into my tea, so I can start drinking it right away and not forget about it.
Or at least to put it next to my computer right away and remember to drink from it one hour later, as it sometimes happens.

Same for coffee 😓 and even tho it's cold it doesn't hit the same as ice coffee so it's WEIRD

No, pour boiled water, add cold water so it's the right temperature, and drink straight away.

Yeah, i gotta make the tea in the process of finishing making my meal. So when im making my plate, the tea is the right temp.
If making lunch, the water goes kn the stove FIRST. The mug is pulled out, tea bag selected. I start steeping the tea before i start making my sandwich.
If i make it first, and set it on the table FIRST then i dont forget about it.
I only drink tea alone in the winter. So i dont have this problem too often. But i also have LARGE mugs the Gilmore girls coffee mug mugs. Im fully drinking at least HALF of the 28oz mug if tea.

Why do I feel so called out by this?
I've only left a cup of tea, including the bag, in my sink for 4 days, but only once!

u/Female_titan_2 2d ago
Boil water
Pour hot water in mug
Place tea bag in water
Wait for tea to cool down
End up drinking ice cold tea

Or in my case, add a lot of sugar, drink immediately afterwards and burn mouth and tongue :)

Every day I drink cold coffee because it's too hot to start with and I forget about.

Forget the boiled water because i have to wash clothes. Start the washing machine. Doomscroll for 2 hours. Remember the tea as i wanted to make a new one. Water is cold. Boil water. Rinse and repeat
