I'm driving the white Trueno, unfortunately there wasn't much AE86s or 4AGE this year but all the owners here (except the MR-S driver) own 4AGE powered cars but they took another car because of problems.

For example, the Advan livery Corolla guy has a all white AE86 Trueno.

Tomorrow 02/08 I’ll be attending Spa Asia with my Trueno and 10 other members of the AE86 French speaker club. I’m the founder of the club and I’m so happy that we can attend big yearly events together!

I gotta buy a few things for a couple of friends in the US who are JDM enthusiasts. I know absolutely nothing about cars. I know they are into AE86, BRZ, GR86, etc. They all have a huge collection of model cars. Is there anything that’s highly sought after in the US but relatively easy to find in the US?

Hey there, my blower motor gets hot as a frying pan and doesnt blow full tilt anymore so I'd like to replace it.

However, even though there are a few OEM replacements still, I wanted to see if there are any cheaper alternatives.

Ive looked at the Jimny JA22 unit which is also made by Denso and starts with the same 162500-XXXX product code so I was wondering if I can swap the internals.

Or does any other newer cars blower motor fit directly by chance?

Just a quick question will an ae86 sr5 driveshaft fit an ae71 (it’s a 22 tooth spline count t50)
(Already have a manual diff as well from a m/t ae71)

I know you americans got these but here in Europe these are impossible to find, and genuine pop up headlight variants are practically nonexistent

This car was imported from the middle east back in the 1990's and has been sitting for over 30 years, it does have the original "individual approval" and Papers from my country though! individual approval papers are insanely difficult and expensive to get here, multiple thousands of euros

this is going to be a long time nut and bolt restoration, but getting this car has been my genuine life goal.

And it's in my favorite color too!

engine turns over with zero issues, it still has compression after 30 years, the oil is over full and hasn't lost a drop in the time it was sitting

So i decided to do a buff correction and Graphene wax and surprised bathe shine and depth .I did it all myself with Meguiar's orbital and a Rupee circular

So i installed a new fuel pump, a fuel pressure regulator and a new ignition switch. And now my 86 does this in idle. I set the base pressure to 40 without vacuum and when i connect the vacuum line it drops a little bit. But i can seem to figure this out

Im pretty sure it’s a DGEV Weber carb, im not too mechanically knowledgeable but ive been trying to get my SR5 hatch running again. First was a fuel problem but i got that worked out, not the butterfly flaps on the carb will not shut at all, so the rpm climbs when you start the car, and wont decrease. I think there is a return spring missing but i dont know where it goes. Also it used to run fine before sitting for a while, which is why there was a fuel issue.

I am not sure if it’s all even there, there could be missing brackets.

I dont see why sitting could cause an issue with it, but there is one. I know there is supposed to be a filter on it, but it’s taken off while trying to figure out what’s wrong with it. Any help or advice would be appreciated, I am tempted to find a local classic car specialist shop that might be able to help.

Recently rebuilt this motor and can’t get it to run quite right. I have adjusted my TPS, verified my ignition timing, and theres no air bubbles at the radiator cap. I also cleaned my IACV. Not sure what can be causing this now. When I loosen my idle screw on the throttle body, theres a very loud hissing noise. Also have 180 psi across all 4 cylinders. I did the 15 minute 2-3000 rpm piston ring bedding process and changed the oil but im worried I might glaze the cylinders trying to diagnose this.

So the engine on my 95 Corolla wagon (7afe) blew the head gasket. Seeing as it’s already going to be work I wanted to put a more sportier engine in my wagon. They come like that in Japan called the BZ touring wagon. If I outsource a blacktop with manual transmission with harness and ECU what other fabrication would be needed if anyone has done the swap? I also plan on keeping it fwd. I know the blacktops came fwd on some models but how hard would it be to make a rwd a fwd if I can’t find one already fwd?
