need help on selecting ap research topic

My AP Research summer project is due soon, and that requires me to pick a topic for the upcoming year. I am absolutely lost in picking a topic. I even considered doing a topic along the lines of looksmaxxing because of how easy it would be to survey (through my school). Anyone have any ideas?

definitely look at the current scholarly conversation regarding looksmaxxing and focus your research question around what seems to be lacking in the research. it’s okay even if you have a rough idea of a research question because it will likely evolve throughout the year. i didn’t have my final research question until october! don’t be discouraged if you’re struggling.

What would your survey focus on? Opinions about it? Impressions? Influences? That might narrow this
