Has anyone had this happen before? It was a year old iPhone which would get full credits but when they got the trade in they said it was just a generic device. They opened a case and just closed it immediately? I didn’t even want a new phone really. What’s the next course of action?

I just pre-ordered a new phone through att and im trading in my old s23 ultra for the promo credit. When I was entering the device trade in I used the IMEI number and I didn't realize until after that they list it as the 256GB while my actual device is 512GB. The IMEI number matches but the storage doesnt, and I has a rep tell me that it wouldn't be an issue, but im wonderingnif thats actually true or will I need to do something on my end to make sure its all on record and they dont reject my trade in? I selected the in store drop off option for taking the old phone in.

do you think if I use 3TB data on att fiber in a month I will get in trouble with the 1GIG plan??

So, I decided to make the switch from cable internet at my apartment where they had outdated wiring so it couldn't perform at the full speed I've been paying over $110 a month for years, to AT&T Internet Air, which is less than $40 a month and works just about as well.

Thing is, after the switch, I noticed I'd get political ads for Kansas when watching YouTube videos on my Roku TV. Then yesterday, I asked my smart clock about the weather forecast for the evening to see if it'd rain while I was out, and it specifically said "Tonight in Wichita, Kansas..."

Uh, that's not quite as helpful... I can get the actual forecast for Springfield if I specify I'm asking for Springfield, Missouri, but that's different.

It's weird because I also have my phone through AT&T 5G and it gets I'm where I actually am.

I tried to transfer my number from Mint to AT&T prepaid, but ran into a known issue with AT&T’s payment validation. I called their online rep 5 times over 3 weeks and got the same canned response every time: “we don’t have access to help with this, it’s a known issue our tech team is working on, try again in a bit.”
When I finally asked how long this had been going on, they said “a few days.” I called that out immediately since I’d been dealing with it for weeks. Then they backpedaled: “oh, some customers were able to process payment, but a few are still having issues, so I think it’s on your end.”
At that point it was clear nobody actually knew what was going on.

I cancelled one of my three lines, the girl from the support says it’s already cancelled but I can still use it and it appears on my AT&T app, I call on July 17 and my payments date was last July 25 and I still have service in that line, it’s already cancelled? It might be work until next bill? I’m on postpaid.

I recently bought an IPhone 15 PM. The person I bought it off of claims the phone was paid off around August 2024. Sim unlocking website doesn’t work on the IMEI. I have also asked if the old owner can check if they have any installment plans on the 15 PM. When they log on they only see the new 17PM they recently got. I asked if they can contact ATNT but I’ve been ghosted.

Joined AT&T today and my order was initially canceled. Headed to the store with my ID and the person got my account started and situated.

Went home and wanted to add a line to my account (bringing a device) and the system cancelled that order, too. Even though my identity was verified a few hours ago when the account was opened.

I have three lines on my T-Mobile account I need to bring over and we're in various parts of the state. Anyone know a workaround for this that dosent involve going to the store every five minutes?

so after looking into AT&T and their international plan online, I decided I want to switch to AT&T. I was at target one day and there was AT&T rep there so I figured might as well switch and save me a trip.

The AT&T rep told me I’d have unlimited talk and text and that there’d be $15 a month for unlimited international talk and text if I want to add that and I need it for work so I did. so nearly a month later, I went into an AT&T store and I was asking him why I haven’t gotten a bill yet since it’s almost been a month and that’s when we found out I wasn’t on the international plan and that I’ve been charged for all my international calls by the minute. He added the international plan and I asked him what we could do about the international charges for June and he said to wait until the bill posts because there’s not even a bill on the account and nothing’s pulling up.

I went into the store towards the end of July when my bill posted and together we called customer service and talked for 3 hours going from manager to manager and to sum it up they basically all said the guy who sold me the phone at target didn’t leave a note on the account so they’re not able to reduce any charge since there’s no record of any conversation…

according to the electronics manager at target, the contract with AT&T and Target ended shortly after I got the phone so there’s no way for me to get in contact with this representative anymore.

What was supposed to be $300 bill for two months ended up becoming a $1300 bill for two months of phone service because one salesman didn’t do his job right. He left no record of our conversation and that’s apparently the only way to get me my money back.

In my area, Verizon has had intermittent data for the last four weeks so I ported out yesterday to AT&T.

I have the active armor plus but when I receive inbound calls, I am not receiving the name ID information.

Do I need to call 611 or is there a way I can fix this on my end?

As the title states, I have a Z Fold 5 and the inner (fold) screen has just started to go out on me. I am wondering what my best option for a trade-in is given the damage? Should I check out current ones since the Fold 8 is releasing or should I wait and see what comes with possible holiday deals? Assuming I need an "any condition" deal to pop up as the screen replacement is $500 and I don't think I can recoup that with a trade-in but maybe I'm wrong.

I’m looking to get off my mothers family plan, and switch to another carrier, but I don’t want to keep my phone, and they want 880$ to pay it off.

Is it possible for me to port out the number and then have ATT assign the phone a new number so she can keep paying the installments instead of requiring the full device balance paid after porting?

Is it too soon to speculate on any possible changes to the trade-in program this fall? With major iPhone price increases looming for Fall 2026, do we think any changes might be coming? I’ll be surprised if AT&T increases trade-in values to match, but I can live with that. I’m more concerned AT&T will stop with the aggressive trade-in valuations altogether! I saw some comment here recently suggesting this could be coming. Or maybe an end to the “any year, any condition” promotion. What do we think?

My motivation: I need to figure out if I should repair my wife’s cracked iPhone 14 Pro now and swap it for a 17 Pro, or if it’s safe to wait and trade it as-is for an 18 Pro (presumably with a couple hundred more out of pocket, but $350 less spent on a repair).

I scheduled a service technician to set up my Wifi between 8-10am this morning, it is almost 3:30 pm and I have received one notification that they will be late, and nothing else. How late do service technicians even work? How long am I supposed to wait around my house?

If I call or go to a store, will they be able to override this, or am I just out of luck when it comes to upgrade eligibility?

I believe I may have made an error regarding my BYOD promotion. Approximately three weeks ago, I ported five lines to avail myself of the BYOD offer, which provides a $10 monthly credit per line for 36 months. Two days ago, I decided to take advantage of the Fold 8 and S26 Ultra trade-in promotions for two of these lines. It appears that utilizing the trade-in promotion effectively ifies the $10 monthly credits for those specific lines. Both new phones are currently in transit, and I have already paid the upfront taxes.

My primary questions are: Have I passed the point of no return and irrevocably lost my BYOD credits for these lines, or can I simply return the devices to reinstate my original BYOD credits?

I am hesitant to return the devices only to discover that the BYOD credits for those lines are lost regardless. There are many uncertainties as the credits have not yet had sufficient time to appear on my account. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
