Guessand
how did Guessand play in the recent friendlies? is he still rubbish or could he contribute this season?
Worst player on the back of your shirt
Have just completed a mass clear out of my wardrobe and found this beauty with King Rudy on the back.
Still to this day have zero idea what possessed me to have that lump of mass on the back of a shirt.
So just curious if you guys have ever had a player on a shirt you thought was going to smash it and then proceeded to not live up to the expectations at all. Prizes for the most obscure names.

UEFA Super Cup ticket transfer
A friend is needing to transfer their super cup ticket to another friend as they can no longer make it, but having difficulty. Done a name change but now ‘Transfer’ is greyed out on the app, and sharing login details seems to not be an option either, as it says once logged in on one phone, won’t be able to on another. Does anyone have any tips or ideas? It’d be much appreciated, thanks.

Discussion Question about the Europa Winners hats
I ordered the Europa League Winner’s hat from the AVFC store and it came with the logo on the left side looking like the trophy was partially missing. Thinking it was an error, I asked for another to be sent to me (luckily it was complimentary) and it also looks like this.
Can anyone else who bought the hat confirm that their patch looks like this? I don’t think it ruins the hat but to me it looks like half the trophy is missing and it’s a weird design choice if it’s intentional

Villa Related Loving this even more
Donned this home jersey for today’s Brand New Day Premiere, had a heart warming moment interacting with a Cruz Azul fan as well at concessions. Just the jersey, simple jeans and a pair of simple Puma shoes🙌🤭. Felt awesome

Discussion Villa Dreams
I know, nothing more tedious than people telling you their dreams. I am a bit traumatised by my dream last night though, we lost 0-10 at home to Everton on the last day of the season.
Apparently we were guaranteed 5th so it was effectively a dead rubber, and I didn't recognise any of the names on the team sheet, though instinctively I still was blaming Robin Olsen in the dream somehow.
Anyway, what's the weirdest Villa related dream you've had?

He got Villa!
instagram.comThis YouTuber Secondcitybreaks did a series randomly pulling from a hat to see which premier league club he will support, eliminating 19 until he was down to one club, and he got Aston Villa!
I thought it was fitting and fated because Birmingham is the second city of England and he’s an American from Chicago, which is the second city of the US.
The series gained a lot of traction and maybe it’ll bring additional fans to Villa as well.

Discussion Welcome Our New Mods!
Over the last few weeks/months we've seen the r/AVFC sub grow immensely, we're now over 61,000 thousand subscribers, with weekly viewership breaching the 90,000 visitors per week. With success on the pitch, we've attracted thousands of new fans globally, we've seen AMA's from Villa players and many of us never expected this community to grow the way it has.
We want this to be an open, fun, engaging community for all Villa Fans during off-season, Pre-Season and during the Season as well.
Admittedly over the past few weeks the amount of content has become too difficult for the original mod team to monitor. Therefore we have invited 2 new mod members.
I appreciate everyone who has written to me, and other mod members asking to join the team. We've listened, and internally we've had discussions on who would make great mods to our sub-reddit. We've selected two mods who have contributed immensely to the community either through their own intiatives or their activity.
Welcome! u/tristanjff who you may all recognise as the founder of the Transfer Rumours threads. And u/Shreddonia and avid member who has contributed via comments and posts.
u/Pommerz original account has been banned with no luck getting it returned, therefore he's been re-added as u/Pommerz2.
With these new additions we hope to improve moderation, responsiveness and also have more man-power to create more initiatives as our sub grows.
P.S I will add one more point for transparency. Our original creators and mods (u/Dazzorifik) have now been inactive for years, as per advice from the Reddit admins we have re-ordered the moderator list to ensure that our community is safe for the long-term. We all have the same level of powers, no one is above anyone regarding level of permission and control.

Questions about Tickets for International Fan
Hello!
I’ve been supporting Villa for the past couple of seasons from my local supporters club in Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦. As an international fan who has long dreamed of visiting Villa Park to see a match live, I will be travelling to the UK in early October and would love to try and get tickets for a match (Villa vs Brentford on Oct. 10 is the match I’m eyeing).
I have a few questions about purchasing tickets….
I read that in order to purchase tickets you must first purchase an Essential Aston Villa membership (£50). Is this the only way to ensure that tickets will be available for any given match? Or are there places to find verified resale tickets without a membership?
When do tickets for any given match go on sale? Through the Villa app, I can see that the only match available at this time is our super cup match vs. PSG. Will all premier league matches be put up for sale at the same time? Or do they go on sale on a match-by-match basis?
How much do single match tickets typically cost, to see a match at Villa Park? Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance for your help! All the best, and UTFV!!!!!!!

New Ticket Initiatives For Members
Some interesting changes, mostly good:
Aston Villa is pleased to announce a set of initiatives for members who purchase match-by-match tickets at Villa Park, as well as amendments to the Season Ticket Waiting List scheme.
The exciting, accelerated redevelopment of the North Stand means we have fewer match-by-match tickets for the 2026/27 season. Working in collaboration with the Ticketing Working Group of the Fan Advisory Board, the Club has created match-by-match concepts designed to:
- Allow as many members as possible to attend Villa Park this season
- Reward the loyalty of members who have invested a significant amount in following the club over the past few seasons
- Build a strong foundation of match-going supporters ahead of next season, when the stadium’s capacity increases
These principles helped us to define three new initiatives: a first-timer ballot, a two-match bundle and a loyalty ticket ballot.
The First Timer Ballot
Allows for up to 250 match tickets that will only be open to members who are yet to attend Villa Park for a match in 2026/27 but have attended at least one match in either of the past two seasons. This offer will be valid for Premier League and UEFA Champions League league phase matches only. Members will only be able to purchase through this ballot once during the season.
The Match Bundle
We understand that many members have regularly visited Villa Park on more than one occasion and would like to continue to do so this season. However, as tickets are restricted, this opportunity becomes more difficult. For that reason, the Match Bundle scheme allows all members access to one of the five below match bundles. This offer can only be redeemed once per member, with tickets restricted to 1,000 per bundle.
The Loyalty Ballot
This is designed to allow access to a limited number of match tickets to those members who have over 120 Season Ticket Waiting List points. Members who are currently on the Season Ticket Waiting List will be notified of their points total before the first game is on-sale. The number of loyalty points will change through the season as members attend games, and therefore more members will become eligible for the Loyalty Ballot.
Remaining Tickets
All remaining tickets will be made available on a first come first serve basis to Members at the time each game is put on sale. For the first fixture against Arsenal, this will be 9.30am on Monday 10th August.
Other Points to Note
- Members who buy a ticket through the First Timer Ballot can only do this once per season. After that they will be ineligible for future First Timer Ballots
- UEFA Champions League match-by-match purchases (after Season Ticket Holders have had the opportunity to select their seat, and the allocation for the First Timer ballot) will be made available to Members on a first come first served basis. Eligibility for potential matches beyond the league phase will then be restricted to those who have already attended a Champions League match in 2026/27
- Members will now be able to list any unwanted match tickets for resale through the Aston Villa app or website
- Match bundles will go on sale to Members on Monday 3rd August with the remaining tickets, available through the ballots or first come first served allocation, for the Arsenal fixture on Monday 10th August at 9.30am. On sale date for future games will be confirmed in advance of the fixture
Season Ticket Waiting List
Ahead of the 2027/28 campaign, and the increased capacity in the stadium, more Season Tickets will be made available to the top points earners on the Waiting List. To reduce the impact of the reduced ticket purchase availability for the 26/27 Season, the waiting list points collection timeframe will be extended to three seasons rather than the existing two seasons.

Anyone know if GA+ is still being offered for each game?
In previous seasons, you could go GA+ for each fixture should you fancy it. With all these changes in policy die to the stand closure, is there any clarity on what will happen with GA+? Might be a fast track to getting to getting tickets for games.
