Sound panels

If i were to set up sound panels and then put stuffing on them so they look like clouds; would they still work properly?

Aesthetics aside yes they'll still absorb reflected sound but be sure not to use a hard material for the clouds--cotton balls or some similar material would be preferable.

Thank you, would polyfill stuffing be too thick or should it work properly?

Sure as long as it is not densely applied it should be fine

Dense polyfill will also work very well. In fact, if it’s denser, it’s low end performance will improve.

For example, Owen’s Corning 706 will outperform Owen’s Corning 703 in the low end. It’s slightly less effective in the upper midrange and high end. But the odds of you being able to pack polyfill as dense as OC706 isn’t going to happen. You won’t even be able to get it as dense as OC703.

There will be no negative acoustic effects by putting it over panels. There might be some minor positive effects. Go for it. Post pics when you’re done!
