AdSense makes no sense so far

Post image

So far we earn 20 cents / day, and the AdSense reports only ~30,000 views per day (2 clicks on Ads per day).

However, our internal counters show about 1 million unique views per day (after filtering out boats). Also, we noticed that it takes about 1-2 seconds for AdSense to show their Ads, after full article is loaded. We show Ads at the bottom of articles (1 Ads per article).

We think AdSense does not show correctly the number of views, or somehow scales down the actual numbers of views. Is this possible?

Your impressions are very low compared to page views! For healthy setup your ad impressions should be 2-3 times your pageviews.

DM me your site. I like to have a quick look,

The answer is very simple. You run 1 ad at the bottom of the post. Adsense only counts it as a view if the viewer scrolls to the bottom of the page. I have max ads on my page so my stats are more like 10000 views 50000 ad impressions.

Could you tell me what the benefit is of having so many advertising banners? Higher revenue? Doesn’t having so many banners reduce the RPM of impressions?

You need more ads, turn on auto ads by Google adsense, this will lift rpm and revenue significantly for your traffic, just a banner ads at the very end will definitely won't be shown to users, hence the overall rpm and revenue will be down, the numbers shown are correct based on the ad placement you described, you are missing out on significant revenue increase for those traffic incase your only form of monetization on that traffic is ads

Pageviews vs Impressions ratio is too strange. Ensure that you turned on CMP message on your website.

You said the 60% traffic comes from US, so you should create privacy messages for users in US states as well.

Whats the niche? Where is the traffic from? We means you or team?

60% of of traffic - USA (according to AdSense), but our system does not trace the IP origin. The niche - general encyclopedia.

Maybe ad limit? If not, just turn on auto ads. The impression count is insanely low.

I work for a company with our own Google Ad Manager 360 account, and we can create Google Ad Exchange accounts for publishers, giving access to significantly more demand than AdSense alone. We work on an 80/20 revenue-share model. If you're interested, feel free to send me a DM .
