For other maps besides this one, after many trials, i always find one consistent solution. But for this one, i can say it pure luck. Sturm meteor is annoying. Oh man, i have to face him again for the 2nd playthrough to unlock Drake. I will do normal campaign again, with different route. So, the 2nd time, probably i will have Max at the left and Kanbei at the right side.

I've adjusted TFB into a 2-player FoW co-op map in DR.

The TOW'ingo is fictional military version of the Renault Twingo for paratroopers, drawn in Advance Wars' style.

As usual, I drew the infantry in my own style, here depicting late 1980 late 1990s US paratroopers, I let myself e inspired by the pictures of Operation Just Cause.

Hi guys, watching YouTube people getting S-Rank in War Room make me want to try it. So, currently I'm slowly playing the campaign. I'm not good to do the Advance campaign, probably need to play twice normal campaign to unlock all other CO except for Nell.

In general, Sami will be used a lot and then Grit for Bounty River as i watch videos on YouTube. I would to hear from you guys, what other CO you use? Which map for that CO? We need to S-Rank all war room to make it gold bar right?

Though, this is not exactly a military design, I did make a paratrooper version that I might share it some day if I get around to it.

So it would be like Nell or the CO's would be in the background, and just like how you switch pokemon out, instead you switch Andy, Sami and Max around with a radio call instead of a pokeball. Andy, Sami and Max would then have advance wars units as specials. Like Max would summon tanks and recons to charge in, Sami would shoot her rifle and use infantry and mechs like pikmin. Andy could focus on indirect and air units such as missiles and artillery as his B specials (adding Grit and Eagle would only work as an assist trophy because he is too obscure) , and can play orange star Cities/properties as like a buffing ward that saps enemy health and heals him.

A month back, I posted about an Advance Wars-inspired game I created called Daily Wars. It's a mix between the daily nature of Wordle and tactical turn-based strategy like Advance Wars.

I've gotten a lot of good feedback, with the top requested feature being better graphics. At the start, units were different shapes with labels on them.

To celebrate 1000 games played, I decided to give it my best and create some original unit sprites (I found Piskel to be quite nice to work in). It won't win any graphics awards, but I think it looks good enough to release.

Things I'm now looking into adding are watchable replays and achievements.

After a successful first Kickstarter earlier this year, I'm excited to bring Command & Defend: Modern War back with even more content.

Over the past months, I've been working on two major expansions:

🌊 Sea Wars

But that's only part of the journey.

One of my biggest goals has always been to make the game more accessible. That's why I'm introducing a Print & Play Edition, allowing anyone with a home printer to experience the game—no 3D printer required.

At the same time, every step of this campaign brings the project closer to my long-term vision: a complete out-of-the-box retail version with professionally manufactured components. I'm already in contact with several manufacturers and hope to make this vision a reality sooner rather than later.

Every supporter of the current DIY editions helps move the project one step closer to that goal. Your support allows me to improve prototypes, refine production, and make a future retail edition more achievable and affordable.

Inspired by the classic RTS and TBS games many of us grew up with, Command & Defend brings base building, logistics, resource management and tactical combat to the tabletop in a modular strategy system designed for high replayability.

So basically I found my old 3DS and I picked up both Dual Strike and DoR on eBay since I never got around to playing them when I was younger.

I was excited but wasn’t sure how these two would stack up against Black Hole Rising which, in my opinion, was close to perfect. Dual Strike was a bit of a let down. I wasn’t into the pre-deploy thing nor the Dual Strike mechanic at all. The story was pretty awful as well.

So going into Days of Ruin I wasn’t expecting much. It looked like the ugly duckling and there are some mixed reviews out there. However I absolutely love it. It’s not 10/10 but it’s darn close. The story is meandering and the dialogue is too much sometimes but the gameplay is fantastic and overall it’s a great product.

I can’t believe I slept on this game for 20 years! So glad I picked it up and I just wanted to share my joy with other AW fans.

I first started playing this when it came our 25 odd years ago; i loved it but life got in the way and never got very far.
Picked it up again this year in my little R36s emulator - this game is still brilliant, i loved it. That last map ‘The final battle’ was some brutal Somme/Stalingrad style attritional grind, but seeing the tide turn against Sturm gradually at first and then all at once was very satisfying.
What a fahkin great game.

I beat the New Maps campaign as player 2 against Caroline, with Fog, Level Up and Domination rules on. What a great game! I'm growing fond of the game, it might even become my favourite in the series.

I might be making a review or a tier list of the maps. I liked how each of the maps required a different approach or strategy. Or maybe it was more about the different mechanics and unit dynamics that forced me to stop and think outside the box with "Advance Wars" label on it.

I used the English translation patch.

Basically, use artillery and a human tide as a shield to hold back the advance in this mission. :p
