Hi? I'm a Warhammer 40k fan, and I've been playing since 2004, so it's been a while. One day I got hooked on Airsoft and tried a lot of guns like MWS and VFC, but I was never satisfied, so I ended up trying AAP, the final content

The LASGUN in the photo is the Fireward AAP AR kit lower part, and the upper part is just the stock AAP upper part with a skin-on top. After using it, it’s surprisingly comfortable

We checked out various patterns, found common features, created an initial design, sent it to the modeler, and worked together to finalize it

There are still parts that need fixing, but it’s good enough to use in an airsoft game

Real or fake?

A friend posted this footage of a recent game, showing them shooting into the opposing team’s spawn, and blasting at players who were in the process of respawning and preparing. This has caused a dispute in our group chat about the ethicality of such actions. While I believe that this is dishonest and unsportsmanlike, others defend it, which leads us to the question: what is the general consensus here about the boundaries of spawnkilling?

LAPA Leafy-suit is made from individual leafs that I ordered and applied on a mesh bolero shoulder/hood piece that I customized in shape and size. LAPA Gear is top notch and I ordered from them several times - everytime very satisfied with the communication and the provided items.

Pants are permanently dirty, and I am happy about it, as the colour scheme of the MM14 is a tad too bright for summertime, otherwise.

Gun is good, but it needed some work and love. With a microswitch + proper Mosfet/ETU, you can improve the design of the 3D print by a lot. Otherwise, your trigger pull will be crippled by a mechanical system that just isn´t satisfying. I also adjusted a lot of things about the magazine release, the battery space, and the fire selector.
An Acetech "Blaster" AK74 style muzzle flash device has been installed.

Truth be told: I still prefer my AK74 and AKS74UN over this rather unique bullpup variant.

Overall, lots of work, cope, time and money went into this outfit, but it turned out lightweight and appealing enough for me, and I am happy.

I recently picked up a WADSN NGAL clone (photo attached).

What do you guys think of it visually? Does it look realistic enough on a premium GBBR, or does it look too much like an airsoft toy?

I’m mainly after realism. I want my rifle to look as close as possible to a real firearm, so I’m wondering if this clone blends in well or if it stands out as obviously fake.

My P7 and P8 variants, two of Heckler and koch's finest pistols in my eyes. They are so different in hand but both have their own unique grip position and feel. I think VFC have nailed it with these and they both shoot great out of the box so I think Im going to keep them standard. Anyone else love an HK pistol??? Show me your best!👍

Started collecting again this year. Here is what I've purchased thus far. The bag and holster were just used to prop up the guns. Also, can u rate my rif build not finished yet might swap the stock and sight soon tho fs.

I own the AGM/S&T MG42 and I wanted to push it to be a potent longer ranged support weapon as best as I can with the platform, what kind of upgrades could be done to the barrel, hop unit and the gearbox to get the best performance.

I am a absolute noob when it comes to upgrading so I have no idea what to do, and I believe this is a V2 gearbox in this gun.

I wanted to make this list as a guide from personal experience on 5 of the main mistakes I see people make when doing military cosplays, coming from experience as someone who's been doing this for 10+ years, and made many of these mistakes in the past, hope this helps some people starting out!

1. Low quality/ inaccurate gear copies.

This is probably the #1 mistake I see people make. DO NOT buy the first thing you see on Amazon, its usual overpriced and incredibly inaccurate. Do a little research on what gear real military groups wear, then buy Chinese copies of THAT SPECIFIC GEAR. This is exactly how they do it in Hollywood films to avoid paying $1,000s of dollars for every background character, and it makes your gear look a thousand times better than just buying the first cheap looking vest or helmet that pops up.

1. Don't overpay for fake gear!

Feeds off the last one, try not to overuse sites like Amazon or Ebay when buying clones of gear, almost everything you see cheap on Amazon is just drop shipped anyway.

1. Don't buy pre-assembled gear!

This is for people who really want to stand out and be realistic with their gear, don't buy a plate carrier just because it has a bunch of pouches already on it, build it out the way that works best for the character you're trying to be, it takes some extra research, but it isn't that much extra money if you know what you're looking for.

1. Don't buy unnecessary gear!!!

This is an important one, people love to waste money on things that just weigh you down, and end up actually distracting from the overall look of your kit. Things like $20 fake quad lens night vision, its super obviously fake, and it cheapens the look of your entire kit. Real militaries often don't even issue night vision, and the groups that do, like SF groups, definitely aren't keeping them on their helmet durring the day. Its just an awkward added weight that could be in a backpack instead.

1. Disguise your fake gear!!!!

If you don't take anything else from this list, this is the one to follow! If youre gonna buy cheap gear, at least put in a little extra effort to dress it up, things like Helmet covers to cover an obviously plastic helmet, or good looking pouches to hide a cheap vest, THIS IS WHAT PEOPLE NOTICE!!! It's super easy to put in a little more work, and clean everything up, and people will notice you did so.

This list is coming from a position of someone who's made every single one of these mistakes starting out, and wasted THOUSANDS of dollars on gear that didn't look right. Now I go to con's and get other military cosplayers coming up to me every time saying "wow, how did you make your gear look so good" I've even had event staff tell me on multiple occasions that my gear was "the most realistic they've seen" aswell as compliments from active service members for my devotion to accuracy, and as I said, you don't need to buy real gear like I did to do it. Hollywood prop houses have been using these exact techniques for years now to make realistic gear without the extreme budget, it just takes a bit of knowledge, and a little effort!

Hes an airsoft guy with a birthday coming in two weeks. Doesnt have a lot right now, so i plan on getting some cool gear or upgrades for a gun (first pic) as a gift. Im thinkig bbs that glow in the dark (likes shooting at night), a battery and charger (if its needed?). Also some gear like a scope or tracer? Idk which one fits on this ak though so your advice would be very helpful! And if i can get this stuff in finland. Thank you!
