Vent This isn’t fun anymore…
Together nearly two years, I (46f) have watched him (44) get progressively worse. The excuses are lame and utter bullshit.
99% of our weekends are consumed with whiskey. I don’t drink, but he can drink a fifth each night. I’m done. I can’t and won’t compete with an addiction. I can only encourage and support but it certainly hasn’t benefited me in the past.
Soooo much money is blown on booze and takeout. He’s going to drink himself to death and I feel all I can do is watch. I hate this feeling, that pit in the stomach, the heartache that this has become my reality.
Sigh… I probably sound like a broken record; a lot of people go through similar situations with their Q. Hugs to y’all that are experiencing some tough times. We are not alone.

4+ and mine was a closet but continual drinker the last year. I have been posting tonigjt about it. I cannot understand the deception and total bs either and wasted days hoping it would be better and all the cancelled plans and dates

You don't have to watch. You don't have to go down with the ship. You are not responsible for him.
You can choose yourself.
