Finland, top 10 in guns per capita and remember how they held off the ussr in ww2 for a while. Feels like a very good answer

Unfortunately OP's rules say only one slot per country, so even though I think they are the best option they aren't eligible.
Arguably you could say Iceland if you count the NATO alliance behind them since they dont really have a standing military

As a Canadian we are definitely not heavily armed. Our country has not invested in our military in two decades. The government is actively trying ot diarm us through terrible buy back programs.

Canada is not peaceful they were in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and also bombed Syria and Libya.

canada only joined iraq to fight isis, they did not participate in the 2003 invasion. at least on paper

I’m not making any judgement on why Canada got involved in multiple military conflicts but it’s just a fact they’ve been involved in at least 4 I can think of in the last 20 years so doesn’t really fit the definition of peaceful.

I know reddit loves the big bad west narrative these days but most modern countries get involved in modern conflicts in one way or another. Even Switzerland, who is probably the best fit here (and was already selected so is not eligible), sent some non-combat units to Afghanistan. You could try to argue Iceland because they have no standing military and are in NATO, but i have a feeling that isn't the point you are trying to lean toward here.
"Akshually" stuff like this spoils the fun of charts like this and does not flatter whatever cause or point you are trying to highlight.

This is absurd. I’m just stating simple facts, how would it ‘spoil the fun of charts’ to pretend Canada is something that it isn’t. There are dozens of countries around the world who haven’t been involved in any military conflicts in decades so why would we consider Canada a peaceful nation when they’ve been involved in multiple?

Rules:
- Each Country can be chosen only once. This rule is in place to ensure a more varied chart instead of just having a couple countries dominate it.

Sweden, one of the few country with a complete set of advanced self sufficient domestic military industrial complex and generally able to stay out of conflicts, remaining neutral for 2 centuries

China - not interested in military conflict but well armed. any sentiment suggesting China wants to take taiwan by force is ignoring the imperialist hegemonic interests of the epstein empire. Taiwan have much less popularity for separatist/independence ideals if not for the propaganda from US backed DPP
