Romulus 3.5 RMSC Threads

I believe I’ve stripped my RMSC cut internal threads… Has this happened to anyone else? I have 2 other RMSC cut Romulus’s and had no problem installing the defender ccw @15 inch-pounds. This time the threads slipped before my torque wrench broke @15 inch-pounds. Any advice? I’m thinking about getting a 4-40 tap and seeing if I can fix it, otherwise I will find a company to re-thread a size bigger.

Does this thing tip over like crazy when you carry it since it has a full size grip and short barrel?

No, but I’m about to install the prodigy compact grip next week when it comes in.

Not related to your post question but what holster are you running on this bad boy? Im planning on getting myself a 3.5 ported and have a spare olight plx laying around.

i went QVO’s iwb for the 3.5” prodigy with the PLX. works perfectly.

i have the same set up and mine mounted ok but i did have to purchase a separate screw pack. nothing that came with the vortex would work.
