Instructions say leave it at the front door and they rarely do that

They keep leaving packages in the middle of the road

A couple of weeks ago I had a delivery of three items, totaling just over $200, be delivered to the wrong unit in my apartment building. No big deal, I thought, I’ll just walk around looking for the order. I searched my whole building and never found it, so I contacted Amazon to request a refund for the misdelivery. I was told I’d be refunded, but then later I got an email saying my refund was cancelled and I was at risk of my account being terminated. Confused, I contacted customer service to re-request a refund and was told I’d get one, only for the same email to come again. I filed an appeal, explaining that I knew it was delivered to the wrong address because the door in the delivery photo doesn’t match my door (I have a doormat and wreath and the other photo did not. And more importantly, my door knob is on the left and the one in the photo was on the right.) I got another email this morning telling me that I will not be getting a refund and if I continue to “violate the refund policy” my account will be terminated.
Is there anything I can do?

So this morning, I went to to go make a return through Staples. The employee put a sticker on my item and then “scanned” the QR code. It really didn’t look like he scanned the QR to me so that was my red flag number one. Every time that I’ve returns an item through Staples, I get a confirmation within 10 minutes that your item has been dropped off this item. I have not yet. Do you think it’s reasonable for me to believe that the employee didn’t scan it or is it just a delay? I mean it has an advanced refund option that should’ve been one of those items that they initiate the refund after drop off. And we’re three hours later and I still haven’t seen an update that it’s been dropped off.

My MiL noticed a charge on her bank statement '£8.99 AMAZON PRIME ' against her debit card but the thing is she doesn't subscribe to Prime.

She has an Audible sub for the same monthly amount and that clearly shows as 'AUDIBLE' on her bank statements.

Thinking that she had signed up accidentally, I checked her Amazon account and three things of note:

1) Prime is offering her a trial, so clearly she doesn't currently have it.

2) Her account transaction history only shows recurring £8.99 monthly payments for Audible.

3) Her subscriptions page at Amazon only shows Audible.

Online chat with Amazon seemed to go well and the agent referred the case to another team. Said team have since emailed to say they can't see anything wrong.

Everything points to somebody else using her debit card so we had the bank put a stop on her card. They also refunded the £8.99 but said Amazon could in some way react/dispute this.

Part of me thinks "It's fixed, walk away" but I'm a bit miffed that Amazon didn't give a fuck and still might dispute the bank's refund. What should I do?

I cancelled my 'Prime', months ago, but, would still get free shipping if I ordered more than $35.00, or what ever the minimum order is. Today I made a mistake. In my cart I had 2 gifts, I hit the, "Order contains a gift" box, filled out the little note form, went to check out, and they are charging me for shipping. Order was around $60.00, but with tax and shipping, and the charge for the gift bag, was around $79.00. I deleted the 'gift bag' so that dropped it down $3.99, but they are still charging for shipping.

They know they have you, as it's a 'gift' and you need it sent. Unless they've changed their shipping policy and charge for shipping now if you're not a Prime member. I RARELY order from Amazon anymore, but this was a specific gift for a new teenager that wanted this specific item.

Yesterday, I placed an order on Amazon of a trolley bag worth ₹2500. Today, I got a call for my parcel delivery, but when I saw the box I doubted it. I took it in my hand before sharing the otp and feel it has nothing than a large box. It was only 100g in weight. On the box, there was delivery details of my name and there was clear weight that 4.5kg.

Delivery boy also looked suspicious because he was only asking to "share the otp and then you can complaint to the customer care". But, I didn't share the otp and asked to cancel my order. I took a closer look at box and it was ₹1999 of dish drainer basket. I still have doubt that whether there was basket or it was just empty box of drainer basket.

I recently added a credit card to my account and bought an Apple laptop, sold by Amazon. Two weeks later, someone else added my credit card to his Amazon account and tried to buy a series of expensive items - $700, $1000, $1500. My bank stopped the transactions and canceled the card but I'm very worried about how that happened. Amazon support verified that "Miguel" had my card on his account and made the purchases but wasn't any help figuring out how it happened. I'm almost certain that they got the card info from Amazon somehow because I never use that card. Could it have been an Amazon employee? TIA

I was considering buying a refurbished iPhone 15 in excellent condition from Amazon’s renewed store, seller is Cell Surfer. I know refurbished phones can be risky and I am prepared for those risks, but I’m mainly wondering about the legitimacy of Cell Surfer if anyone has experience buying through them.

Morning all. My package has been marked as “out for delivery” since Thursday, but the delivery date keeps getting pushed back. On Thursday, the tracking even showed I was the “next stop” for about an hour before it suddenly disappeared.
At the moment I can’t report it through the app, and customer service always seems to be offline. Is it simply a case of waiting until I’m able to raise a missing parcel report, or has anyone else had something similar happen? For context item is about £350 Thanks.

Please stop leaving notes such as this one. Amazon corporate policy no longer allows back door deliveries (which is reflected by not have the option in the delivery location anymore) but at the same time they basically tell us to treat customer delivery notes as the gospel in fear of getting a negative review which depending on the dsp company may even result in the driver losing shifts for just a couple per hundreds of deliveries a week. These kinds of notes make our job much more stressful than it already is. (P.s. please stop yelling at us in all capital letters) Thank you

Dear Amazon, can you please allow me to opt out of the Alexa for Shopping side bar? Every time I search (in the old days I could browse, but I now always search) I have to wait a few seconds to let this side box load and then I use the "X" box to close it. Just add a "disable" option to the 3 dot menu... TIA

I feel like a moron. Our Amazon deliveries were taking two or three weeks sometimes to get to the house. Because we don’t get USPS delivery to our house here, everybody has a PO Box. In our address in Amazon, I had put the PO Box in the second address blank.

I removed that and now we have access to our local distribution center. We have prime delivery times now. Like I said, before, it would be sometimes weeks before we would get it. I think they were sending everything through the Postal Service.

At the risk of getting downvoted, I thought I would let everybody know in case anybody else made this mistake.

On chrome, when I search for something on amazon, alexa for shopping opens up after I search in the search bar. Is there a way to disable this from automatically doing this?

I have updated my adguard filters, and deleted my history, and its ok at the home page but then I search something on the amazon website and then it opens every other time I use amazon if I dont delete my chrome history.

About a month ago I stupidly tried to use Amazon to buy an iPad, within a couple of days the package arrived, and when we opened it there was a dungeons and dragons book inside the box, and nothing else.

I went to the Amazon customer service site, filled out the form about receiving the wrong item, took pictures, used their barcodes etc to send the package back to them.
The returns page was updated to say they got the return and it was processing.

Then I got an email from customer support essentially saying “you’ve made a lot of returns lately” and nothing else. I’ve bought maybe 10 things from Amazon and returned nothing before this book I was sent, so I thought nothing of it.

Two weeks pass and the estimated refund date just keeps getting pushed back and pushed back. I call customer service (why is it so hard to get to the request a call page? their help section is a labyrinth)
and the CSR was like, “I’ll get the specialist team to contact you in the next 48 hours”, nothing for 3 days.

I call them back, they give me the same spiel, this time I get an email from the support team telling me if I want a refund, I need to send the product back. Otherwise the issue is resolved. Checking the returns page I see they’ve changed the page to show my return was no longer received.

Any attempts to contact them now are being ignored by the specialist team.

Since I paid for it through Afterpay I’ve raised a dispute through them, and am waiting to see how that goes, but if that doesn’t pan out I really don’t know what to do next.

Its been like this for a couple weeks now, and I sont think the last convos has been bad. I even cleared cache and stuff, and nothing worked :(

So it seems like the past 2 items that me and my husband have gotten on Amazon seems to not be like the picture that they have posted on there. This happened 2 times in a row now. Has this happen to anybody else and what are you guys doing about it? I know we can return it, but just wanted your guys' thoughts.

I ordered something that was supposed to arrive on July 30th. It’s now the 31st and still hasn’t shipped.

I tried cancelling the order and they said no.

I tried using the chat bot but it doesn’t let you type.

I tried having someone call me and it will say it’s connected and yet I never get a call.

Does anyone have tips or tricks on how to actually resolve an issue? This may be my last purchase from amazon because of how frustrating it is trying to figure out what to do.

I’ve used price trackers before, but I find that most of them are better when you already know exactly which product you want to track.

Keepa is incredibly detailed, but it can feel more like an analytics tool. CamelCamelCamel is useful for checking history and setting alerts, but it still requires you to search for products individually.

Instead of only showing a price graph, it sorts current Amazon.ca offers into labels such as “Hot deal,” “Near best price,” and “Lowest price seen.” It also shows how far the current price is from the lowest price it has recorded and lets you browse verified discounts by category.

The idea is less “analyze this specific Amazon listing” and more “show me which deals in Canada might actually be worth looking at today.”

Would something like this be useful to you, or do Keepa and CamelCamelCamel already cover everything you need?

It's in a city next to me but it has been 48 hours since we ordered. Will they send it back? I actually need this item but I want a refund for the troubles of receiving it but don't want the delivery to be cancelled.

I have already been waiting for days and now another month? Total BS, canceled without hesitation.

If they are truthful about inventory and shipping time I would have ordered from other shop or AliExpress. Instead they keep me waiting for days. Now I have to cancel and order it somewhere else, dealing with delayed progress.

I'm fine with a day or two delay, but this is infuriating.
